Chapter 26

Amari's POV Jan 26th 1AM

We pulled up to the hospital just in time to see Lucas also pulling into a parking spot. I rushed outta Jade's car to Lucas's car. I don't know if I'm mad at Lucas or not. Lucas got out and I ran to him "she's in the trunk." I nodded and went to the trunk.

I looked back and I noticed everyone was here and heading towards us. Lucas opened the trunk and we saw Cameron. She looked worse from when I last saw her, the side of her head was bleeding, she had more bruises, and she was pale.

"I'll uh I'll go get a doctor." Alyssa said then ran off. "Where's her pants?" Mal asked. "Seriously your worrying about her pants." Xavier said. Alyssa and a couple doctors came rushing out pushing a gurney. Lucas grabbed Cameron then put her on the gurney.

They wheeled her in and I watched, not knowing if I wanted to go in there or not. Lucas and Jade were beside her the whole time anyway. I looked in the back and I saw my mom. "Ma." I breathed out and rushed to the back seat.

She looked like she was okay except that she kept waking up and falling asleep. Some other doctors ran out so I guess they told them they had another person. I rushed in the hospital by my mother's side along with Lyssa.

We were waiting on news for Cameron. We had already got news for mama she only had a concussion which is good I guess.

We've been here for about 3 hours and still nothing.

There was paparazzi outside the hospital trying to get in. I don't understand them sometimes, like why don't they know boundaries. They only care about themselves and making money not caring who they hurt.

Selfish bastards. I needed to call my backup security team because the first set got fired. But first I would need a phone.

"Family of Cameron Reynolds?" I was the first one to rush up there everyone else behind me. "Alright who are you to Ms Reynolds?" The doctor asked me. I didn't know what to say so Jordan answered for me.

"Shes the fiance, I'm the dad, this is her sister, and brother." Jordan said pointing at each one of us. "Okay and the rest?" "Friends." Lexi replied. I don't even know why she here.

"Alright well I'm Dr. Longbottom I was one of the surgeons working on Ms. Reynolds. Ms. Reynolds has 3 broken ribs that would need to be taken care of. She had a lot of scars over her abdomen and back so I stiched those up. Now here's the tricky part, since she has broken ribs we cannot cover those scars because the compression wrap that would go over those stitches can keep her from breathing deeply. Which can increase the risk to pneumonia. So the scars would either have to be open OR we can put gauze bandages on it, It's really your choice. She also has a concussion that should go away within 2-3 days, Ms. Reynolds also had a little bit of internal bleeding but that was taken care of. I'll update you with more information once Ms. Reynolds wakes up. She's up in room 278 and have a nice day." Dr. longbottom said and walked away to the next family.

"Damn. So she's crippled." We all turned our heads to Alex. "Shut the fuck up do you even know what crippled means. Why'd you even say that shit you got bout 5 seconds to get out my face before I put you up in one of these hospital rooms." Lucas said. "5..4..."

I walked away from the group and went towards the elevator. I pressed the button and waited Jordan appeared beside me. "Why'd you say I was her fiance?" I asked him. "Just Because you two are not together right now doesn't mean you won't get back together. I see the love between you two when you look at each other. I see the adoration I remember when me and Amelia had that." He said chuckling.

"Why did y'all break up?" I asked as we walked on the elevator. I pressed floor 2 and stood back. "We just grew apart then she cheated on me." "Oh I'm sorry." "It's fine." We stood in silence after that. The elevator dinged letting us know we arrived at the second floor.

We stepped off and went to room 278 "I'll let you go in first." I told Jordan. He nodded "thank you." I just smiled. I watched as Jordan sat down beside Cameron and took her hand just talking to her even though she was sleep.

I walked off and went to look for a OB/GYN doctor. Might as well see if I'm pregnant here. I found one and we went to a room to draw my blood and check my hCG level. "Alright so the test results usually take a couple days to come back or you can get them later on it really depends on the lab. Well call you with the results have a great day." He said walking out.

I fixed my sleeve and walked out going towards Cameron's room. When I arrived everyone was outside the room and Jade was inside. "Where were you?" Mila asked me. "With a doctor." I replied. "How long has she been in there?" "For about 10 minutes." I nodded and leaned against the wall.

"We'll start clearing out since we rode with Mel see you later." Jace said as him Xavier, Mel, and Mila started walking off. "Alright well I did my part sorry bout your mom Amari." Lucas told me and walked off.

"Are you staying?" "Yeah." "Alright well I'ma head out. I'm getting old I can't be out here like you youngins. I'll see y'all tomorrow if cam wakes up and I'm not here just tell her I'm glad she's okay." "Okay see you later." Jordan just nodded and walked to the elevator.

Jade came out and I told her everyone left. She nodded and we exchanged see you later's then I went in the room. I just sorta stood there for a minute looking at the State cam was in.

This day is going great my mom lemme get some egg nog with alcohol in it😋 once again Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
