Chapter 23

January 15th 5:00PM omniscient

After Amari threw up she took a nice hot shower that was well needed. She was different. She wasn't her usual self, she was quiet, not really interacting with anyone, she had this sadness in her eyes that you just couldn't describe.

It looked like she gained a lil weight when she was gone, but no one said anything about it. She was also glowing but nobody said anything about it. It's only been a couple hours since she's been back.

The only time she interacted with someone was when Mila asked if she was hungry. Lucas has been fustrated with the opportunity that was presented.

Emily for Cameron.

Cameron is his twin he would do any and everything for her. They were close but not close like her and Jade. They all had that bond that some siblings wish they had. Lucas wanted to trade Emily in but he also didn't because that's mari's mom. Cameron's lover, He was conflicted.

Emily or Cameron?

Jade thought, she was also conflicted. She knew the consequences that would occur if she turned Emily in to get Cameron. Would they understand though?

Amari POV

"Hey you need anything?" Mel asked me for the 100th time. "No." "You sure?" I just rolled my eyes and didn't respond to her. I wonder what's happening over there with Cameron. Is she coming back? Or they going to kill her? I miss her.

I've messed up once again. Me and my fucked up family. First the baby and now I've managed to get cam adultnapped. What's next?

Death?

"Hey you wanna come with me?" Mila asked walking in my room. I was about to say no when I felt the need to throw up. I sprang up quickly and emptied my stomach in the toilet.

I felt a hand rubbing my back and the other holding my hair back. "You should go to the doctor." "N-" I started to say but threw up again. "Amari I know you done seen some things and went through some things but your going to the doctor whether you want to or not. I'm your best friend and it's my duty to make sure your okay."

"Okay."

"Okay. Rinse your mouth out now. Yo Breath smell like hot ass." She said with her face scrunched up and I giggled a little bit. "Nobody ain't gon say nun about this but I am. And I think you pregnant." I rinsed my mouth out and responded.

"I couldn't be I haven't had sex since yk." "Is it possible you were pregnant with twins and just lost one baby?" "Mm mm." I said and walked out. I didn't really want to think about that at this moment.

If I am pregnant then I wouldn't know what to do. Would Cameron want a baby? Would I want a baby?

"I'm sorry ma I didn't mean too." I said to my mother with tears in my eyes. "It's okay I know you didn't mean too. You were just startled thats all." "Everyone is in the living room waiting for you so we can talk. Did you see the person's face?"

"Yeah." "Okay who was it?" "He said his name was Derek. He looked exactly like dad." Mom froze then she nodded and left out the room. I got up put on a hoodie and some sweats that snuck out the house.

I'm a grown ass woman sneaking out my own house what a shame. I walked around not really knowing where I was going. I had to get a new phone tomorrow and contact my team and explain why I've been gone.

I came across a bench and sat down. I watched as the cars and people passed by, the driver's honking and yelling out the window at the people they thought were walking or driving to slow.

I didn't know what to do, I was confused.

What now?

What happens if I'm pregnant?

Is Cameron still alive?

Is she going to die?

Why did Derek take us?

What was the point in this?

I miss her I didn't even tell her I love her. Where the fuck is my phone?

Jamila POV

"Go check on Mari please." Emily asked me. "K." I went upstairs and to her room to find her not in bed. I checked the bathroom and she wasn't there either. I went back downstairs and everyone was looking at me.

"Is she asleep?" Lyssa asked me. "Uhm yeah." I lied. "So I played the video back and it looked like they where in some type of warehouse. There are 12,300 warehouses in total so I would say our best bet is to make that arrangement unless you guys wanna go warehouse hunting everyday." Lay told us.

"They gave us a week to decide so we should decide then but in the meantime we should search whatever warehouses we can starting tomorrow 6AM sharp." Jordan told us.

"What about Amari?" Jace questioned. "Yeah and Riley?" Jade also questioned. "Who the fuck is Riley?" I asked. Jordan pointed to a lightskin girl with fake locs. "Oh. Fuck her and for Amari she can roll with us." I said.

"No." "Yes send her ass home. Cameron don't even like the girl." Xavier butted in. "You don't even know what happened so shut the fuck up. She's staying." "Listen I may not know what happened but I know enough to the fact Cameron wouldn't want you around her." Xavier countered.

They went back and forth until we heard the door open.
