"Despite the danger and challenges, Rine and the rebellion team were determined to push through with their mission. "We can't let corruption and abuse of power go unnoticed," Rine declared as they set out to gather evidence. After months of hard work, they were able to gather enough proof to expose the truth to the public.
As they presented their findings, the public was in shock as they were exposed to the scale of corruption they were living under. "This can't be true!" exclaimed a bystander. "We demand justice!" they shouted in unison. The evidence presented leads to the downfall of corrupt officials and the start of trials that would bring justice to many abuses.
With the new wave of hope and change brought by this success, the public was now calling for more rights and protections for the clones, and for a more transparent and accountable government. The government, being forced to make concessions, was now under a lot more scrutiny from the public.
The success of the rebellion was a mixed feeling for Rine and the leaders, "We've won a major victory, but there is still much work to be done," said Rine. They had to come to terms with the personal sacrifices they had to make to get to this point, but it was all worth it for the greater good.
The next day found the three members of the rebel group preparing to leave on a mission for the first time in quite some time. They packed the van with supplies that they needed - weapons, uniforms, communication gear, maps, food, water, extra clothes, etc. Then, once that was ready, they drove to the outskirts of town to meet with the other leaders from the rebellion.
It took the entire morning to convince everyone to join forces so they could go on this mission. The decision wasn't easy because most of the rebel group felt the loss of the freedom, independence and individuality that they'd gained during the rebellion. "But we're not going alone," Rine asserted. "There will always be people who want our freedom." And although they knew it could cost them their lives, they believed in what they were doing and were willing to risk everything for the freedom that their cause represented.
Ava was especially worried about her father. "You know I'll be okay; I'm just getting a bit older and you know how the disease makes my body feel," Ava assured him. She knew how much he cared and trusted in her ability to do whatever it took to achieve what she thought was right.
"I'll be here for you, kid," he promised. "Don't forget to tell your mom I said hi, alright? You have a job to do and if anyone tries to stop you from doing your duty, then I want them to have to answer to me, understand?" He gave her an affectionate smile.
Ava smiled softly. Her father was definitely her favorite person in the whole universe. Even when they argued or disagreed, he always came around eventually. "Yes sir!" she replied. "Be safe!" Ava gave him a light hug before leaving. Her father stood off to the side, watching with concern.
After everyone else left, Ava approached her father and hugged him tightly. She knew he was worried, and while it might seem irrational given his situation, she didn't blame him for that. "Hey Dad," she whispered. "I love you."
He pulled away slightly so that he could look at his daughter. "I love you too. Now promise you'll be careful?"
"Of course," replied Ava, taking one last look at him and making sure she had everything she needed.
She headed back into the house where her mother was waiting for her, and told her that she was leaving for the mission today. As soon as she got home, she started packing her bag for the trip. It was important to prepare, even if she was already going.
While she was packing her bag, she heard her mother walk into her room. "What's taking so long?" questioned her mother as she sat down at Ava's dresser.
