As the bell rung, signaling the first class of the day, I made my way through the crowd into my English class. Surprisingly the class was small. There were two other girls and about 10 boys. Hesitating slightly, I sat down next to the girl with black hair and purple glasses. 40 minutes flew by and soon I had found a new friend. Her name was Sammi Miller. Sammi was the type of friend who would require incentive before doing something out of "selflessness." She wasn't a bad person but she wasn't really a good friend. Our friendship didn't make it past 10th grade and for that I was relieved. Her overbearing jealously and snarky know-it-all attitude always got in the way of making new friends. Without knowing it, I had isolated myself from the others and was left with only Sammi as my lifeboat. The one and only thing that I thanked Sammi for was introducing me to Kaleb Vergosa.

The first day I met Kaleb was the third day of 9th grade. I walked into my history class and sat down at the furthest table so I could investigate my classmates. Seeing tables filled with laughter and jokes, I felt alone at my empty table, well almost empty table. There was this one girl sitting right across from me but she never spoke, looked or even acknowledged my existence. But anyways back to the point, I was alone. Just as the teacher was about to start the lesson, the door squeaked open and someone sat down at the table directly across from mine. I didn't see their face because being the goody-two-shoes that I am, I was busy taking down the notes on the board. As soon as I was finished, I looked around and I was startled to find a pair of bright green eyes focused on me. Dark hair, bright eyes, and high cheekbones with the slightest hint of stubble made me blush bright red before I hid behind the curtain of my hair.

With my heart pounding in my ears, I carefully peeked out from under my lashes and studied the fine specimen sitting directly across from me. His hand stopped writing as if he sensed my eyes taking in his every move and looked up. Once again, I froze. His eyes held me in place and the chatter of the room fell away as I continued to stare like a gawking idiot. After a few minutes, he looked away and continued writing his notes. Mortified that I had been caught ogling, I ignored the rest of the class for the entirety of the period and as soon as the bell rung, I ran out of the class and into my next class, science.

Science was no different. We played ice breaker games and spend the day relaxing and introducing the class curriculum for the next few months. Oh and did I mention, the green eyed god was in my class? This time, I made sure, I sat in front of him and out of staring distance.

Even then I could feel the burning stare that was drilling itself deeper into my skull with each passing minute.

"Okay so get with your groups!" The teacher finally ended his long winded speech about the importance of education.

Wait what? I looked around quickly and saw a list of names on the board labeled as group 1, group 2, etc...

I found my name next to Sammi's and some other guy. Sammi had already found a lab table towards the back of the class so I grabbed my stuff and headed on over. Me being the klutz that I am was looking down the whole time, trying to balance my books and bag in both hands and I smacked face first into a wall. Well not a wall. It was a person. A really hard and tall person. My books scattered everywhere and I fell down with an oomph. I grabbed my temple and applied pressure to try and stop the pounding. I groaned and opened my eyes and nearly combusted right there on the spot. Bright green eyes were staring curiously at me trying to gather my fallen books back into my bag. My eyes followed his nimble hand movements.

"Oh sorry. I shouldn't be touching your stuff." His deep voice sends shivers down my spine and I fight to keep the blush off my cheeks.

"That's okay! You can touch anything of mine that you want!" I grimace as soon as the words come out of my mouth. Stupid stupid stu...
