~Suga~
The restaurant was warm and cozy, making Suga feel completely at peace. They were seated at a table near the back, low warm yellow lights above their heads, creating a slightly romantic and comfortable ambiance. There were a handful of people, the place being generally popular but the tables were spread apart, giving them plenty of privacy.
Suga couldn't stop smiling.
Their food order was in and now they were passing the time with a game Suga has played when he occasionally babysits some kids in the neighborhood. It's actually a lot of fun.
"Ok, ready?" He asks and Daichi thinks for a minute before grinning, making Suga roll his eyes. "The whole point of this game is not thinking." Daichi chuckles.
"Shh let's just go." Suga sighs and rolls his eyes again, smile still wide.
"Ok, 3, 2, 1, grass,"
"Pool." They both say at the same time.
"3, 2. 1 water,"
"Park."
"3, 2, 1, dog,"
"Dog," when they say the same word Suga starts laughing a little, Daichi simply admiring.
"You're so cute." He says casually, making Suga blush and send small glare with no heat.
"Shut up..." he mumbles while watching Daichi take a sip of his drink, amused expression meeting his glare.
"Are you a dog or cat person?" The abruptness of the question makes Suga chuckle before he thinks.
"Umm, what do you think I am." Daichi hums, thinking.
"I think you're a dog person." Suga eyes him.
"Why do you think I'm a dog person?" Daichi laughs.
"So I take it I got it right." Suga feigns an annoyed look.
"What about you?"
"Oh 100% a dog person." Suga smirks.
"Oh thank god." He says dramatically, making Daichi laugh again.
"Would you have just ended everything if I said, cat person?" Suga smirks playfully.
"I mean..." Daichi gasps in fake offense, lightly kicking Suga under the table, making Suga giggle.
He's never felt happier, sitting there with Daichi. He didn't feel the fear and dread he figured he would feel on his first date in years.
The only small form of fear he felt was over how easy it was and how every time Daichi smiled at him, every worry vanished and his heart skipped a beat.
Talking to Daichi was easy and he felt completely comfortable around him. Around someone, he hadn't even met in person until a week ago.
The thought made him chuckle, gaining a questioning gaze from Daichi but before he can say anything their food finally arrives.
"This better be as good as you say it is." Suga quips, making Daichi laugh a little.
"Don't worry, it is, trust me." Suga eyes him playfully before slowly taking a bite, eyes widening because he was right, it's really good. "See, told ya." Suga rolls his eyes.
"Oh fuck off." He mutters before taking another bite. Daichi gives him a pleased smile before they fall into comfortable conversation about whatever comes to mind, eating and laughing. Suga really felt like he was on cloud nine. He can't remember the last time he felt so...happy and at peace.
