~3rd POV~
"I think we should have the figure skaters race the hockey player," Mattsun suggests, smirking at Iwaizumi who rolls his eyes.
"No." Oikawa chuckles.
"Scared?" Iwaizumi sends him a small glare before rolling his eyes.
"Alright, you know what. Fine. Prepare to lose though." Oikawa gives him a challenging gaze.
"Don't get too cocky, you have no idea how fast I can really go." Iwaizumi rolls his eyes again, skating over to the edge.
"Suga? Akaashi?" The two look at each other.
"I mean I'm tempted to just make you two race each other." Oikawa glares at Suga. "But I'm down." They turn to Akaashi who shrugs.
"Sure. I can go again." He pulls away from Bokuto who pouts but lets him go.
"Now this is going to be interesting." Makki quickly skates to the other side and also pulls out his phone, prepared to record. Mattsun rolls his eyes and skates over.
"Bitch you can't pay attention to who wins if your eyes are glued to your phone." Makki frowns.
"But if Iwaizumi loses I need that memory saved forever." Mattsun sighs.
"Okay gimmie the phone. You pay attention and I'll film. Bokuto! Daichi!" Both boys turn at the sound of their names. "One of you count them down." Bokuto gives a thumbs up and looks back at the 4 boys who are spread out along the edge, ready to go.
"Okay, ready!" Oikawa spares Iwaizumi a glance, being met with a competitive one which makes Oikawa smirk and focus. He's got to win this. "Set! Go!" They all take off at an impressive speed. Impressive to Daichi at least who only just got the hang of standing still.
It's close. Really close especially with Suga. But Iwaizumi still pulls ahead with a noticeable distance, skidding to a stop right before he hits the wall. The other three come to a stop, not stopping soon enough so they each hit the wall a bit, arms bracing them.
"Jesus Christ you guys," Makki says while Mattsun skates over with a frown.
"This video is useless now." Makki laughs and then turns to the two boys at the other end.
"Iwaizumi is the winner!" They are all out of breath, Oikawa sighing in defeat while Iwaizumi glances at them all.
"You guys are fast." Oikawa glares.
"Don't patronize us." Iwaizumi rolls his eyes and pushes off the wall a little so he is skating backward. Slowly.
"For hockey, you gotta be fast immediately. You're in a sense racing at top speed for 20 minutes. You're fast, but your build-up is slow which makes sense." He says with a shrug and Oikawa eyes him. Then he rolls his eyes.
"Fuck off."
"Hey, I'm being nice." Suga laughs a bit, leaning back against the wall, eyes trained on the ceiling. Iwaizumi turns to Mattsun. "Send me that video." Mattsun frowns.
"I wanted you to lose." Iwaizumi glares.
"Wow. What supportive friends." He deadpans and Makki laughs and then turns to Mattsun with a smirk.
"Our turn." Mattsun quickly smirks back.
"I am going to wipe the floor with you babe." Makki glares and they both skate off to the other side, Iwaizumi watching.
"They could have just started from here." Iwaizumi points out, making Oikawa laugh as he pushes himself from the wall.
"They aren't the brightest."
