Y/n screamed, chasing Seokjin into the elevator.
“ARE YOU GONE INSANE?! THERE IS A GHOST IN THAT ROOM!” she yelled, standing directly in front of him, blocking his way. She shook her head furiously.
“Y’ALL ARE INSANE, NOT ME!” Seokjin yelled back, his patience thinning.
“I don’t believe in any ghost! Move aside,” he said, stepping forward. Y/n gulped, and he pushed past her, pressing the button for his floor.
“DON’T BE A GREEDY HANDSOME MAN AND GO DOWN WITH EVERYONE!” she yelled, grabbing his collar and shaking him.
Seokjin rolled his eyes. The elevator dinged. Y/n screamed again, hiding behind him as he walked out. She clutched his leg.
“PLEASE DON’T GO THERE! WE’LL ALL DIE!” Y/n shouted, panic rising in her voice.
He ignored her and swept her off the floor effortlessly, standing before Room 400. He gently made her stand.
“I have lived here, and trust this handsome man—there isn’t any ghost—” he began.
Suddenly, the door swung open on its own. Y/n froze, eyes wide.
“YOU GO AND DIE! WHY AM I WITH YOU?!” she screamed, trying to rush back to the elevator.
“Six billion is all mine, I guess,” Seokjin muttered casually. She stopped, blinking, slowly turning toward him.
“A chambermaid in a luxurious hotel… can’t even get a room after five years of hard work… her oppa studying abroad, parents never looking at her… and yet, she’s still working as a maid. That’s you?” Seokjin asked, his tone even but piercing.
Her hands trembled, eyes glossy red. She gulped.
“A bell boy in a hotel, abandoned by parents, drowning in debts after six years as a senior bell boy… not knowing where your parents are… that’s me, right?” he asked again. She stared, frozen.
“Do you think our lives could get any better? It doesn’t matter if I die or live at this point. Only Namjoon will hire a new bell boy to replace me. Nothing changes. I’ll go inside, and ghost-like things… they don’t exist,” Seokjin mumbled, turning away and walking in. Y/n bit her lower lip, closed her eyes, and followed him.
Seokjin turned on the lights and walked toward the bed. Y/n stepped in behind him. Suddenly, a vase flew toward her, forcing her to bend down and fall to the floor. Seokjin’s eyes widened. She panted heavily, sitting up. Then the lights flickered off, plunging the room into darkness. Both of them panted heavily. Seokjin moved cautiously toward her.
A swinging chair creaked ominously, moving by itself. Seokjin’s hand trembled as he slowly turned to it, gulping.
“Y/n,” he whispered, pulling her into a hug.
She panicked, pointing shakily at the chair, sobbing, panting. The lights flicked back on.
“Are you okay?” he asked, concern written all over his handsome face. She burst into tears.
“L-let’s go back,” she stammered, eyes wide with terror. Seokjin stared at the chair, unease creeping over him.
Suddenly, a rock smashed against the mirror, shattering it. Y/n screamed, moving backward, palming her mouth, staring at the wall. Seokjin froze. Written on the wall, in red, was his name. His eyes darted back to Y/n, terrified.
“WHY ARE YOU TWO IN—” Jungkook gasped, standing at the doorway, staring at the bloodied wall and broken vase.
“NAMJOON HYUNG DISALLOWED YOU TO STEP IN HERE!!” he yelled, still outside the room.
