It's my eighteenth birthday in three days. Where am I now?
I've got my head in a bog. Yeah, oh yeah, my head is being held in the toilet, while four teenage boys are laughing, shouting their glee at my watery misery. The boy forcing my face into the loo is our pack's future Beta - Lucas Keen, whilst the future Alpha and his best friend, Tristan Lyon laughs it up .
My name is Kass Montgomery: Werewolf un-extroadinaire. I am a member of the 'Fawkes Group' a pack somewhere in the middle of Surrey, England. I am also, unfortunately for me, not born into this pack: my parent's were placed into this pack several months ago due to certain... circumstances. Because I wasn't born here, this makes me an outsider to them: someone who does not belong and should not be there and most of the pack do their very best to make my life miserable. Which is why I'm currently enjoying my toilet water face wash - courtesy of future Alpha Tristan Lyon and his minions.
I thrash harder against the rough pressure of Lucas' hand against the back of my neck as the last of my air supply bubbled away, my heart tightening painfully in my chest as I began to worry that they were actually going to kill me: even though murder is a little bit illegal.
Through ringing ears, I could hear someone ask if they should stop, which gave me an idea: I stopped moving. I went completely limp.
"Shit!" I heard a voice screech, before my face was yanked out of the toilet, several strands of hair being ripped out with the sheer force of the action. I gasped for breath and reached up to grab the hand that was clutching at my hair, trying to relieve some of the painful pressure that was beginning to build up. "The bitch was faking it!" Hissed a rather annoyed Kingston Haight, a slightly whiny note to his voice. I opened my eyes a crack, burning and bleary, I took in several stormy faces and the blank mask of hatred that was painted across Tristan, Lucas and Caiden's faces. The rest of them just looked bored.
"Sorry." I spat out, spite oozing out of every syllable. "I wasn't aiming to please."
Without a word I was thrown to the ground again, hands splayed before me, I began to push myself up off the ground, but was quickly stopped when a heavy booted foot kicked me between my shoulders - causing my aching ribs to creak. "You don't get up until we say you can, slut." Growls Tristan, grinding his heel into my back as he did so and causing me to wince in pain.
I said nothing.
"Get her up." Says Tristan, taking his foot off my back and stepping out of the crowded stall, Lucas following after him silently. "Bring her out here."
I was pulled to my feet (and none too gently either) by Kingston and Caiden and dragged out of the wet stall: a puddle of water all around the basin of the toilet and where I'd been forced to lie. "Hold her still."
Oh crap. What are they gonna do now?
Digging my feet into the sticky blue linoleum, I tried to pull out of their grip, but I was too tired and weakened from my exploration of air deprivation in the toilet. "Stop fighting bitch!" Caiden yelled into my ear, taking a hand off my arm for a second so he could deliver a powerful punch to my stomach. Curling over as much as I was able, I hissed in pain and coughed once. Bright spots dancing and pirouetting before my eyes. "You deserved that." He laughed.
Once I was where he wanted me, Tristan stepped forward, legs slightly apart and arms crossed over his chest, his all-black attire only served to contribute towards his intimidating appearance. "Now," he sneered, honey coloured eyes shadowed ominously. "what shall we do with you?"
"I recommend an apology but you're all twats so that's not gonna happen is it?" I muttered under my breath, knowing full well that they all could hear.
However, I didn't get long to truly appreciate all of their offended faces, because soon, three pairs of fists were battering me, scratching me and a chorus of laughs filled my ears along with the fearful rushing of my blood.
"Any last words, mutt?" Snickers Lucas, him and Tristan giggling like psychopathic schoolgirls.
"Yeah, actually." I wheezed out miserably.
Oh God Kass, why can't you keep your mouth shut? Honestly, you bring it on yourself sometimes...
"Oh, and what would that be?" I don't actually know who said this, because by this point, I'd begun army-crawling my way to freedom.
"Don't forget to brush your teeth tonight guys, I can smell a cavity a mile away and also your breaths are nasty."
That's it - I'm done for.
"Get her!"
Fuck you, I'm outta here!
I scrabbled to my feet shakily and legged it. Out of the toilets, past the Science corridor and out of the school. It was not long before the sound of footfalls behind me dissipated into nothing. I had escaped.
But not for long.
It was never for long.

A/N: First chapter of ANOTHER new book! Woo hoo!
Picture of Malese Jow to the side who I've decided (with the help of some others) will play Kass Montgomery.
Yes, this book will probably be a little cliché, so if you really really hate those I advise that you don't read on: my idea for this book is pretty cliché, I felt like I wanted to write a sweet one, so, enjoy the slightly wild ride. A cliché idea mixed in with some hopefully unique-ish ideas.
