chapter twelve ~ multi-murderer

no exit pt. 2

Dean, Sam, and Jo were looking at news article clippings and photographs that were dated for
multiple different years, looking for any sign of a clue while they stood over the kitchen table. Haven walked into the apartment through the front door, shifting the group's attention to her.

"Theresa Ellis, apartment 2F," The brunette told the trio as they all looked to her. "Her boyfriend reported her missing around dawn today."

"And the apartment?" Dean asked as Haven walked to his side.

"Cracks all in the plaster on the walls and ceiling. There was ectoplasm too," Haven told him.

Sam nodded, "Well, between that and the tuff of hair, I'd say the sucker is coming through the walls."

Dean looked over to his brother, "Yeah, but who is it? The building's history is totally clean."

Jo reached over and pulled a picture from the table, "Maybe we're looking in the wrong place."

"What do you mean?" Haven raised an eyebrow.

"Check this out," Jo handed the picture over to the trio of hunters across from her, Sam taking the picture.

Sam shook his head at the photograph of a big empty plot between two old city buildings, "An empty field?"

"It's where this building was built," Jo explained. "Take a look at the one next door. The windows."

Sam's expression dropped, "Bars."

Dean looked at Jo, "We're next door to a prison?"

"Thanks, Ash, and if you breathe a word of this to my Mom- yeah, that's right I will. With pliers," Jo told Ash before hanging up the phone and moving for the trio that stood around the kitchen table. "Ok, Moyamensing prison. Built in 1835, torn down in 1863 and get this, they used to execute people by hanging people in the empty field next door."

Sam smirked a little, "Well then, we need a list of all the people executed there."

Jo nodded, "Ash is already on it."

Some time passed before Ash sent over a list of executed prisoners. Sam finally received the list and was now reading through it with Dean and Haven looking over his shoulders at the laptop. "157 names?" Sam said in disbelief.
