Sherwin led the couple to staircase in the main foyer of the Inn, but before they stepped into it, Haven lightly pulled Dean back. The Winchester looking at her with confusion, "Why are we stopping?"
"We need to talk and you have to promise me something," Haven said as she slowly released his bicep. "Sam was right earlier about me having a worse destiny."
"Haven, he's drunk-"
"Drunk words are sober thoughts and we know damn well it's true. You can't tell me it isn't," Haven cut him off. "I need you to promise that when it comes down to it, I need you to kill me too."
Dean ran a hand over his face, "Haven, absolutely not. Sam just made me promise to kill him and now you're asking me to do the same to you?"
Haven stopped him as he went to turn away, "Dean, I'm serious. Think about it, I'm a powerful witch that a lot of hunters want dead anyway. If I wreak havoc, it's over for anyone near me. I could kill someone with the snap of my fingers and I can't let that happen when the time comes for the demon to take me for his plans. So, I'm begging you, Dean. Kill me before it gets to late, you know you wanted too when we first met."
"Haven, please don't make me promise you this," Dean pleaded with the girl as he cupped her face with his hands, tears evident in both their eyes.
"Please, promise me," Haven whispered as she placed her hands on top of his. "I can always just persuade you with my magic."
Dean lightly chuckled at the girl as he wiped her face with the pads of his thumbs, "Sure you would, Emerson."
Haven looked up to him with a pleasing look, "I'm serious, Dean, you gotta promise me you will. I want it to be you, not some random hunter. I need it to be you."
The Winchester groaned before saying it just above a whisper, "I promise."
The witch pressed up on her toes to meet his lips with hers, "Thank you." Dean pulled her close when their lips left each others and just held her for a moment. Sherwin cleared his throat behind them causing the couple to break apart and follow after him again.
He walked on towards the staircase, the walls lined with black and white photos of Susan's family. Sherwin walked up a couple steps, "This is little Miss Susan and her mother Rose. Happier days."
Haven and Dean walked a couple steps up and stopped behind Sherwin, looking at the photo of the mother and her daughter smiling for the camera.
