chapter seventeen ~ croatoana motel
Haven tossed and turned that night until she decided to finally sit up and rub at her eyes. Sleep was still rare for her nowadays, so the fact she even tried was useless. When her features were heavy with exhaustion, she looked to her side to see Dean's side of the bed empty.
"Ooo, maybe he's with another girl," A voice came from behind her.
"Why am I not surprised you're here?" Haven sighed as she turned to see yellow eyes laying on Sam's bed, but Sam was no where in sight. "What do you want from me? You come to try and kill Dean again? Well, guess what, you can't."
The demon waved her off as he pushed himself up so he was sitting upright, "Oh, I'm well aware of the little spell you casted, but that's not why I'm here."
Haven clutched the red sheets of the bed as an uneasy feeling washed over her, "Then, why are you here?"
"You see, young witch. I realized that, yes, Dean means a lot to you, but not enough," Yellow eyes got off the bed and started walking the length of the room. "I had to hit someone with deeper roots that connected to you."
"No," She whispered as a certain vampire that raised her came to mind. "What did you do to him?"
The demon looked at her, "Him? I could've sworn she was a pretty, blonde, girl. You might want to call her up because I think I just found one of your inner downfalls."
Haven pushed out of the bed and stalked towards him, her eyes blazing their scarlet red. "What the hell did you do to Rebecca?"
The demon smirked before grabbing Haven's arm that she was about to use for her magic, stopping her. He grabbed the side of the witch's face and threw her down to the ground. Her head connected with the carpet of the motel ground, but when she pushed herself up, he was gone and she wasn't dreaming anymore. You're gonna need to be faster than that, The demon's voice still rang in the stale, motel air around her.
"NO!" She yelled as the cold air that blew from the air-conditioning machine, nipped at her bare legs. Haven then heard Sam gasp awake behind her causing the huntress to turn and see him on the floor as well.
The motel door squeaked open as Dean tried to sneak in with a 6-pack and beef jerky hanging from his mouth. The Winchester shut the door and turned around as Sam shot up from the floor, breathing heavily and Haven frantically searching for her phone to call Rebecca.
"Sam? Haven?" Dean asked worriedly as he watched the two.
