Everyone in the tribe had heard the news about Gai that he had go and compete and win his place back in the tribe after kicking him out it made me sad as we used to train together and now he had to leave and we had no idea when he'd be back but he promised me he would be back which I nodded watching him leave. That was 3 years ago, I was now older and stronger getting a new partner who got along with me wonderfully so wonderful we ended up dating making us the power couple of the tribe as we were the strongest.
Middle of training when I spot Gai watching with a blank expression but I smile running over to him "your finally back Gai" "I am, I see you've moved on" "well I did need a new partner" "but that means breaking our promise!" "what promise?" "it doesn't matter, I'll fix this" with that he walks off as R/N hugs me tightly I smile kissing his cheek as we go inside and rest. Later that evening the tribe were celebrating Gai's victory and everything was fine until it wasn't.
Hearing R/N cough I look seeing he was clutching his throat as his coughs got more violent I call for help as we try and help him but sadly the poison was to strong and killed him leaving me sat there alone by the fire wondering what happened when I see Gai in front of me I then remember what he muttered "it was you, wasn't it?" "I had to do what I needed to do" "what did he ever do to you?" "he stole you from me and well no one does that with paying the consequences."
