I was so sure of my successor when I chose him and I was proud of him as he had trained so hard to get where he wanted. My successor. Watching him as he started running down the hill with me following shortly after slowly down when I saw him talking to another male our age. I couldn't see to the others face but his outfit was impressive. Waving me over I finally see the face of the mysterious monkey "so your the one who trained him?" "I am you must be his friend" "the names M/N, pleasure to meet you" he says with a bow turning back to my new successor.
After that meeting he tended to be with him making me pleased as it meant I could see him and observe him. From what I could tell he wasn't a fighter but he was intelligent, in some departments anyway. However I soon learned I really didn't like these two together as they seemed to close as friends and I couldn't lose him to my successor of all people but I couldn't just kill my successor either do it meant my only option was to take M/N far away.
I waited for the ceremony and now he was in charge it meant I could leave with M/N as I had no place here. I had told my successor I was leaving after he was named which he said was fine and said he'd visit but in reality he wouldn't be as he'd never find me. Drugging M/N's drink as I stay next to him waiting for him to pass out which took 30 minutes. Telling the others I'd take him home they just nodded not caring as I carry him to his forever new home.
