Geek To Grease

Chapter 10

                 My pov:

When we stopped in the driveway I fell down to my knees.

The house burnt down.

"Wha...what happened?" I asked in shock as I stood up.

"Well I was cooking dinner one day when the smoke detector went off I thought it was just the smoke coming from the pan but....it was your computer you left it charging the whole time you were gone." Mom says stepping out of the car.

"Oh um when...when did it burn down?" I asked quietly while mentally screaming at myself.

"Just yesterday." She says.

"Wow I didn't even know I left it on charge." I said shaking my head.

"Well you were to excited for the trip to realize and I didn't even step into your room until yesterday so I didn't know."

"Oh well I'm really sorry mom.....well where have you guys been staying?" I asked.

"Well we have been staying at your  memaws house so let's go up there now." Mom says while getting her bag out of the car.

We walked up the hill that leads us to her house and they are eating at the picnic table near the road.

"Abigail your back whasup Olivia." My memaw says hugging me.

"Hey Abbs.", My pap says while waving.

"Hey guys." I said back smiling.

"Well you guys must be tired so go in the house. Abbie you, your mom,
dad, and sisters are staying in the guest room I have two blow up mattresses and a pallet in the floor in there so go rest up." Memaw says.

"Alright see you guys later." I say.

We walk into the house and head towards the guest bedroom.

"Well I guess you can lay your blanket down beside my pallet or we can sleep in the living room." I said.

"How about so we don't wake anyone up talking we stay in the living room." Olivia says.

"OK let's go." I said walking out of the guest bedroom.

13 hours later......

We have had fun talking, watching movies, and eating and everyone is tired so they lay down in their rooms and leave me and olivia on the couch and chair in the living room.

"So you wanna talk now?" Olivia asked.

"Sure." I say. "Well I wanted to talk about going back to Tulsa once we graduate this year."

"Maybe we should go back and maybe live there and we could bring Trinity and Sarah with us!" Olivia says whispering excitedly.

"That's a good idea and we could find a good college close to Tulsa too." I said.

"Here I'll look on my phone and try and find us a good college close to Tulsa." I said getting out my phone.

"Aha I got it The university of Tulsa." I said looking at my phone.

"That's good how much to get in?" She asks.

"24 thousand dollars." I said frowning. "I have a scholarship because of my grades and we don't talk about our grades that much." I said.

"Yeah.....well it sorta happens that......I HAVE A SCHOLARSHIP TOO!" Olivia whisper yells.

"Yes that's awesome we will tell my parents and yours the day of graduation where we are going to college." I said.
