THERE WAS NOW AN adequate amount of players on the Challenger Team, but they still had a problem.
"How are we going to tag so many people back in one round?" One of them asked despondently.
"We only need five people to win. If we split up, we should be able to do it if we tag one person each." Usagi told the group.
"Wait." Arisu said, "There might be another way."
"Like what?" Akuji questioned, wondering if there was a way to make this easier for her.
"They're after me, right? So what if I lead some of them into a corner and Usagi can tag them." Arisu suggested.
The players nodded, "Yes, and we can get the others. Surely, that will make us win."
"Come on then, we don't have much time." Akuji stated and everyone jumped into action.
The other players raced off, leaving Akuji on her own. She used the railing for support still, and decided she had to use stealth again.
It wasn't hard for her to find two members of the Queen Team on the floor below her. Luckily, there was also a set of stairs right beside her. As they walked by the staircase, she jumped down onto it and leaned over the banister, tapping both of their buttons with ease.
Their bodies convulsed as the taser got them, and Akuji swiftly rushed away from the situation before she could see any more as looking at it made her feel sick.
By now, some of Akuji's strength had been recuperated. She noticed the Queen of Spades and two other members of her team sprinting past on the floor below. Akuji employed the same tactic and leaped down from the floor above, managing to convert one of the players to the Challenger Team.
The Queen of Spades stopped running once she realised one of her goons wasn't following her. She turned, spotting Akuji. "Go get him." She ordered to her other follower as she took a step toward Akuji.
The girl knew she was in trouble now. Although she would not have lots of luck with speed, Akuji knew she didn't have much strength to fight, either. So, she took off sprinting.
She could hear footsteps behind her, thumping against the metal floor. Akuji wondered why the Queen was chasing after her if she wanted Arisu so badly. And then, she got it. There were a bunch of other players on the Queen Team so of course, they were doing her dirty work. And any other member of her team could be converted with the press of a button; the Queen couldn't.
Glancing behind her, Akuji realised the Queen had disappeared. She slowed to a halt, panting and exhausted.
And then the Queen jumped down from the floor above, cornering her.
