Part 6

It was the weekend finally and Hyunjin had asked Jisung to go with him to a karaoke room with some friends he had made in class. Hyunjin and Jisung rode together in a taxi to the karaoke place. "Ahh after a long week we can relieve some stress with some karaoke!" Jisung said excitedly punching the air. Hyunjin laughed as they walked into the place. "My friends are already here so we just have to go back and find their room." Hyunjin said as they took turns paying the cashier. Jisung followed Hyunjin as he asked "So who all did you invite? Kids from our class?" Before Hyunjin could answer they found the right room and walked in. There were 5 people there already. There were 2 second year girls that Jisung recognized but didn't know their names and a guy that he had never seen before. Standing beside them was Minho and Jun. "Wow you all were able to come! I'm so excited I have never done this with such a big group before!" Hyunjin said. "That's because you never talk to anyone Hyunjinnie!" Mystery girl 1 said. "Yeah you are always so shy!" Mystery girl 2 added on. Hyunjin laughed nervously as he said "Yeah... I'm trying to work on that, which is why I invited you all here!" The two girls, Jun and Minho all cheered. Jisung smiled awkwardly at their enthusiasm. He was very popular at school but wasn't used to hanging out with people in social settings. He was always busy training and practicing his skills as well as studying that he didn't have much time for a social life. "We pretty much all go to Brightstone Prep but might not know everyone's names so let's do quick introductions and then get to singing! I'm Hyunjin, softmore art student." Hyunjin said. Mystery girl 1 spoke next saying "I'm Kim Rodriguez, art student, softmore." "Softmore athletic student, Jordan Stewart." Mystery girl 2 said in a mock serious soldier like voice. "Jun Park, senior performance art student." Jun said. "Minho Lee, senior performance art student and this is my friend Jay from the dance team I attend after school." Minho said gesturing to the unknown guy. "I am in university right now studying dance." Jay added on. The 2 second year girls started giggling amongst themselves as they heard that Jay was older. Jay was tall with bleached hair and multiple ear piercings. Jisung looked at him and Minho seeing that their styles were very similar. Although Jay's style leaned more towards trendy street wear and Minho's was more punk rock style. This was actually the first time Jisung was seeing Minho outside of his uniform and comfy loungewear that he slept in. He wore his earrings and his hair messy like he had it the first day they met and a black leather jacket over a white band tee. Ripped black jeans and combat boots completed his look and while Jisung didn't want to, he had to admit to himself that Minho looked pretty cool.

Just as Jisung was about to take his turn, Jordan interrupts saying "And the Prince needs no introduction, we all know your name." In Jays direction the flustered Jisung turned and said "My name is Jisung, please call me Jisung." "Alright! Now that we all know each other's names, let's do this! Who wants to sing with me first?" Hyunjin said into the microphone changing the subject. "I will sing with you Hyunjinnie!" Kim said giggling as she grabbed the other mic. The other people from the group sat around the big booth towards the back of the room to wait their turn and watch. Jisung sat next to Jun and asked "We should do a song together. Do you want to?" "Nah, I'm okay." Jun replied coldly. Jisung's mouth dropped a little not expecting her to say that. "That's ok Prince, I will sing with you!" Jordan said blushing. Jisung smiled nervously at Jordan and then looked back to see an annoyed expression on Jun's face. She turned away from Jisung and started talking with Minho and Jay. 'Is she mad at me for some reason?' Jisung thought to himself. "How about the 3 of us do a song?" Minho said to Jun gesturing to them and Jay. "Ooh yeah and if we recruit Hyunjin we can do a Blackpink song!" Jun said excitedly. Minho pointed at her like saying 'that's the best idea I ever heard' and she pointed back at him with the same expression. They both erupted in laughter and told Jay about their plan. Jisung sulked as Jordan batted her eyelashes beside him. Jisung and Jordan went up next and as they began, Jisung glanced at Minho who was looking straight at him. When their eyes met as he sang, Minho smiled and gave him a thumbs up. Jisung looked away quickly, surprised by the sudden show of support. At the end they were met with a roar of applause as they handed their mics to the group of 4. Minho's hand brushed against Jisung's as he took the mic. A shiver was sent down Jisung's spine from just that small contact. He returned to his spot in the booth and thought back to the first time their hands touched with the static electricity. 'Why am I feeling so weird? Is it going to be like this any time we accidentally touch?' Jisung thought to himself confused. As the group of 4 sang their Blackpink song, Jisung realized that Minho actually did have a great singing voice but they did such a great job performing and entertaining that Jisung couldn't even get mad or jealous. He was having too much fun and even laughed and sang along with everyone.
