"AUSTIN BABY!"
Like a little kid in the playground, Daniel ran through the paddock. He walked ahead of Max and Madelyn toward the press conference. Of course, Max and Daniel had to be paired up during Daniel's favorite weekend.
"I don't know if I'm going to survive this press conference," Max mumbled to Madelyn. She chuckled.
"Admit it; you love having press conferences with Daniel." She nudged against his shoulder.
"They are my favourite, yes," Max said. "I just never seen him this excited over a weekend."
"You'll have fun. Just promise me one thing: no inappropriate stories, please. I know you love to tell those stories when you're together," Madelyn said with a slight warning tone.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Max mockingly scoffed.
"I'm serious, Max." Madelyn now shot him a warning look too.
"I'm just messing with you," Max winked while grinning. "We'll behave ourselves." He leaned sideways and brought his mouth closer to her ear. "Gorgeous," he teased her.
Madelyn started blushing as chills spread over her entire body. She laid her hand against his shoulder and pushed him away. "Shut up and keep walking," she hissed between her teeth. Max started laughing, causing Daniel to turn around.
When he saw the couple laughing, he started grinning and waited until they caught up with him.
"What are you two talking about?" He asked, smirking.
"Nothing," Madelyn said, her cheeks still a little pink. "I was telling Max I want no inappropriate stories during the conference. Same goes for you, Ricciardo."
"Someone's a little feisty," Daniel winked at Max, who chuckled again. "So how's the whole 'telling the team' thing going?"
"We're telling them today during our weekly meeting in the garage," Max told him.
"Are you nervous?" Daniel asked.
"A little bit," Madelyn admitted. "Sure, the team already knows about the rule change. But to be honest, I'm quite curious about how they'll react to us."
"I just want to be done with it," Max told Daniel. "I'm done hiding from others. Although, we did decide not to tell the rest of the world yet. With that, we will wait until the end of the season, when all the championship drama has calmed down."
