In strut your father "y/n get dressed in something more formal we need to be there at five, so I expect you to be ready by four thirty" as quickly as he came, he was gone through the door to his adjoining room.
You already unpacked your suitcase so you went over to the closet pondering what the best outfit would be. Your dad was really dead set on impressing this woman so you figured you should be too.
He didn't mention where you'd be dinning but you figured something office casual would be appropriate. So, you grabbed your dark purple pencil skirt, white long-sleeved blouse, and matching purple heels. You figured you'd put on some light makeup just to cover the stubborn bags under your eyes. After brushing out and curling your hair you were finally ready.
'Still waiting on dad's slow ass, after warning me to be onetime he's going to be the one that makes us late. Should I go remind him of the time? I don't want him to blow this, but I know if I go get him, he'll find some way to blame our tardiness on me. But won't he anyway? Probably.'
He rushed through the door "let's go".
you nodded, quickly following him out of the room, threw the lobby, and into the car. Your nerves must've made you zone out because before you knew it, you we're pulling into a parking space. 'What if I don't make a good impression? What if I blow this? I'll surely never hear the end of it if I do.'
You reached for the door handle but was stopped by your father's firm grasp. "Y/n let me do the talking and be polite" He sternly reminded.
You nodded to avoid vocalizing the sarcastic remark that popped into your brain. 'I mean what did he think that I was going to talk some random womans head off about something I don't have a clue about? I'll probably awkwardly say hello then sit and zone out the rest of the time.'
You made your way through the sea of people on the street into the restaurant lobby. As your father spoke to the host you admired the place. There were high ceilings with extravagant molding, and the dim lighting created the perfect calming atmosphere. You'd never been to a restaurant this fancy before which made you feel even more out of your element.
"Y/n lets go, were already late" my father snapped.
You followed the host to the back of the huge restaurant into a more private area with fewer tables and lower lighting. Your heart stopped realizing you were being led straight to a table with the most breathtaking woman you'd ever seen standing beside it.
Shes was wearing a sexy light purple skirt and matching blazer with a white collared shirt underneath, complemented with a black belt hugging her waist and a purple tie. 'So not only is she a fashion icon Shes stunning!'
Her bright red hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail that reached all the way down her back. Her plump lips were painted a dark purple and she had gold rimmed glasses sat perfectly upon her cute nose. She had this aura about her that screamed DANGER and you couldn't help but be pulled in.
The closer you got the more you noticed her staring you up and down. You felt slightly self-conscious holding all of this gorgeous woman's attention. Your eyes were drawn back to her captivating mouth as she licked her lips ever so slightly. You were jolted out of your trance when a warm hand touched your shoulder, and the smell of lavender invaded your nose.
"Sweetheart, are you alright" she questioned in a sweet low tone.
Her deep raspy voice made me squirm. 'Ahhh she called me sweetheart, I could die a happy woman now! '
You would've been embarrassed that you were caught staring if you weren't so focused on not collapsing from her close proximity.
"I'm Mark Y/L/N It's nice to finally meet you" my father confidently said while reaching his hand out to shake hers.
