"What other way?" Luke asked.
"Well, we strip him of his power. That way, he can't stamp anyone, possess them, or take anyone's soul."
"Sounds good, how do we do that?" Flynn asked after Alex relayed what Willie had said.
"He has this amulet. It gives him all his powers. We would just have to take it, use it to give everyone their souls back and then destroy it."
"Can't we just keep it. We wouldn't be evil." Reggie asked innocently. "I'm sure it has good powers too."
"We can't. It's just too powerful. It could easily fall into the wrong hands." Alex explained.
"Ok, so, I think the million-dollar question is, how do we get it? I assume he's got it around his neck." Flynn voiced the question everyone was thinking about.
She was right. They sat there, brainstorming possible ways to get the amulet from Caleb. So far, they had nothing. Turns out, getting a necklace from a powerful ghost wasn't easy.
"What if we all run at him at the same time. He can't stop us all." Luke got the support of Flynn on his suggestion.
"He absolutely can stop us all. He'll still have the amulet."
"Ok, fair point."
"What if we try to distract him and the girls can get the amulet." This time it was Reggie who came up with a plan.
"I doubt he'll let us talk to him after escaping. He'll probably just get rid of us the moment we set foot inside that club." Luke dismissed him.
"Wait. Reggie's got a point." Julie suddenly had an idea.
"Wait, what?" Flynn was also confused.
"See Luke. She liked my idea better than yours." Reggie stuck out his tongue.
"Well, I liked the premise. We would have to change it. And by change, I mean completely flip it on it's head. I should be the bait and you can steal it."
"How would you be the bait? You're a lifer."
"Ever wondered why she can see all ghosts and not just those three? Why her hug countered Caleb's stamp? She's the special one. It's not the boys, it's her. And if Caleb was so intent on getting three ghosts that can be seen by one person without his help, imagine how he'll react when he finds out she can see all ghosts on her own." Flynn delivered almost the same speech she had given to Julie not long before.
"You're right." Willie concluded. "I was taken aback by you being able to see me, and I'm sure that if Caleb wasn't so focused on getting the guys, he'd have noticed too."
"Can I please speak to you alone?" Luke asked her.
"Sure. Your room?" Julie suggested and they left.
"I don't think we should be using you as bait. What if he catches on to us and hurts you? Or he stamps you?" Luke said as soon as he closed the door.
"Luke, he won't. And even if he did, I'm happy to take that risk. Like you said, no music is worth making if I'm not making it with you."
"I love you, Julie. I'm just scared of losing you."
"Luke, I love you too. But I don't want to go through losing you again. I have to do this." She said, hugging him.
"I know." He pulled her in for a kiss.
When they got back, they found the whole room looking at them.
"Let's do it." Julie said, as she was visible to everyone at the moment.
AN: It's out, as promised. I tried to write an emotional scene... that was a catastrophical faliure. But I guess its as good as it gets. You may have noticed I'm not the best writer. Anyways, the story is coming to an end, I'm planing about 2-3 more chapters.
