The group was having lunch in their favorite restaurant. The Pattersons and Mercers were already there, and they were waiting for the rest.
"So, where are the girls?" Julie asked Willie, referring to their two adopted daughters.
"They're at a friend's house." Alex answered.
Just then, Flynn and Reggie entered.
"Late again?" Luke commented.
"It's called being fashionably late." Flynn retorted, sitting down.
They ordered food and started chatting. A new album from Julie and the Phantoms was going to be released, and judging by the success of their first three, it was going to blow up. Flynn, who was working marketing team, was busy with hyping the release and subsequent tour up on social media. Not that it was needed, their Spotify and YouTube accounts had gained millions of followers during the first year alone.
"We have an announcement to make." Flynn said, nodding at Reggie.
"Coincidentally, so do we." Julie responded. "But you go first."
"Well," Flynn took a dramatic pause before continuing. "we're engaged!"
"It's about time." Luke joked, earning himself a kick under the table from his wife. "What? It's true. It took them ages to realize they were perfect together."
"Whereas you got together SO fast." Flynn replied sarcastically.
"Well, show us the ring." Julie insisted.
"It's magnificent." Alex complimented when he saw the beautiful diamond ring on her finger.
After a brief conversation about their engagement, Flynn interrupted.
"Jules. You said you had news too."
"Yeah, well, I'm pregnant."
"Oh my god Jules, that's amazing. Congratulations!"
"Yeah, congrats!" Willie, Alex, and Reggie joined in.
"Have you decided on godparents?" Reggie asked.
"Well, I have. Flynn, will you be our child's godmother?"
"Of course, I will, Jules. I've been counting on you eventually asking me since we met." Julie laughed. "And while we're asking people important questions, Julie, would you be my maid of honor?"
"Flynn, how could I not?" both girls hugged.
"Well, guys, you look like you're behind. The girls already have everything figured out. And neither of you has asked someone yet." Willie told them.
"Well, it's harder when you have two best friends." Luke retorted.
"You don't want to offend anyone. But I was going to do the same thing you two did. Both of you can be my best men."
"And I'll do the same thing with godfathers. Would you two be our kid's godfathers?"
"Of course, dude." Alex replied.
After lunch, Julie and Luke returned to their home. It looked a lot like Bobby's house, only it was a bit smaller and the interior more inviting. They spent a couple hours in the music room, writing new songs for the band. They ended when Julie got too tired and went to bed. Before falling asleep, she reflected on how good her life had turned out. Seven years ago, she couldn't even sing a note and her life was a mess, but now, thanks to three ghosts from the nighties, she was the lead singer of an extremely successful rock band.
"Thank you for bringing them to me, mom."
And that's it. Thank you so much for reading my story. I never thought it would reach as many as 100 reads, let alone 460, especially since it's been 2 years since the series was released. Thank you again and I hope you have a lovely day.
