I woke up to the sunlight bursting into my room. It's today. Today is the day when I become a true Metkayina warrior. As soon as I woke up I felt this kind of a knot in my stomach, I was so nervous. I went to breakfast where my mother and father hugged me and wished me good luck. The whole clan will be there, including the newcomers. "You can do this." Ronal said giving me some kind of motivation.

I went to our table and sat down. I didn't have appetite for anything at the moment but I knew I had to eat before the test. "How are you feeling?" Tsireya asked. "Nervous. Scared." I said staring at the food that was on the table. I avoided making eye contact with anyone, even Neteyam. I have to mentally prepare myself for the fight. "You ready to be the disappointment to our clan?" someone said behind me. It was Rotxo, I hate his guts.

'Just relax Neomi' I thought to myself. The time has come. The teacher showed me the way to my own room, where I have to prepare myself with weapons. I took a bow and some arrows and a little knife. I put it into my pocket that was sitting on my thigh. "I'm ready. I'm going to go out there and show them what kind of a crazy bitch I can be. I didn't get the title of the best warrior for nothing" I said, talking to myself. I wanted to build up my confidence for the match. I'll need it.

I put the crown on my head and looked at myself in the mirror. Thousand thoughts were racing through my head. I thought I was going mad when I saw a younger version of myself in the reflection. She was smiling at me, not the creepy smile, but the happy smile.

"Today, we are gathered here to witness the test of warriors. In this forest right here, the young Metkayina warriors are going to fight the true ones to become what they've trained for, their whole life. There will be three matches today, Haani vs Kallie, Teyn vs Kinsey and Rotxo vs Neomenia, the grand finale." the narrator yelled, announcing the event's matches. When he said my name, another wave of nervousness flew through my body. I can't let anything distract me right now. It's just me, myself and I. I'm on my own now, I'll have to use every piece of information I have in my mind.

The first match began and of course Kallie won. She had some cuts but nothing serious. Haani was too easy for her, I wish I would've chose Haani. I regret my decision of choosing Rotxo, because even if I win I won't get out of there without a serious injury.

The second match wasn't anything interesting either. Kinsey almost had to kill Teyn because he wouldn't surrender under any circumstance.

And now... it's my turn. "Neomi and Rotxo please walk onto the stage." he said. I walked onto the stage, looking at all of the Na'vis watching including Neteyam and his family and my family. Their presence made me even more nervous than I already was. Rotxo walked onto the stage from a different entrance. He lifted his hands in the air and the crown shouted.

"Ready to loose?" Rotxo said with a smirk. "We'll see." I said as I winked to him. "And the fight has begun!" the Na'vi said.
Rotxo ran towards me, yelling his lungs out. He wanted to jump onto me but I slipped through his hands. "Sloppy." I said teasing him. "Let's see how well you do in the forest." I said running into the forest with him following me. I climbed onto the tree and hide from him. I took my bow and an arrow and aimed it into his direction, but he was nowhere to be found.

I looked the other way and he was there with a knife in his hands, he cut me and now I had a deep cut on my stomach. I grunted and took out my little knife. "You're already loosing." he said wanting a reaction. I remember Ao'nung's words to not show any emotions. He ran towards me and I punched him in his face. He backed up in surprise and looked at me with raised eyebrows.

With a knife in my right hand, I cut the side of his arm and he yelled in pain. I kicked him in his stomach and now, he was on the ground. He unexpectedly grabbed my leg and tripped me. He took an arrow out of my bag and pushed it into my thigh. Now, the arrow was piercing through my thigh. I yelled in pain, I have never experienced such pain before.
