I march up the long, dark trail towards the 5,000 enemy warriors. I can't help but feel that this is the end. Wells holds onto my hand tightly. I know I should be strong and confident, but I feel as though I'm marching towards my death.
I think of my mom and how the last thing I told her was that I hated her and would never forgive her and my soul aches for another conversation. Another I love you. A real goodbye.
The world is turning in slow motion, each hard step on the dark, cold earth echoes in my little bubble. As I walk, thousands gather to stare at me and Wells, but I try to hold my gaze on the stars, hoping that if someone can hear my prayers, they save us.
I knew some day I'd be back with my dad, but I was hoping to wait a little longer.
"It's ok." Wells whispers to me as we approach the largest tent, heavily guarded.
I blink my way back into reality, going from slow-motion to an adrenaline burst of speed.
A tall man approaches me. He's large like the other warriors and has long black hair and a matching beard.
"If you even look at her the wrong way, I will slit your throat." He hisses towards me, stepping out of the way so I can enter the tent.

"Sir, we have to do something." Bellamy pleads over the radio to Kane.
"Son, even if we could kill hundreds somehow, you would still be wiped out and your friends would still die. I'm sorry."
"God." Bellamy exhales, bringing his hands to his head.
Octavia walks over to try and comfort him, wrapping her arms around his body and pressing her face to his chest.
"It's not your fault."
"I shouldn't have just let her go there with no plan. No weapon."
"You couldn't have done anything else." She reasons.
A single tear slips down Bellamy's face.
Finn, on the other hand is a nervous wreck, pacing the landscape.
"What are you doing?" Raven asks him.
"There has to be something we can do!" He frantically responds.
Raven stares at him, her heartbreak bleeds from every pore of her soul.
"You love her. Don't you?"
"No- Raven. I don't."
"You do."
"It's ok." She adds, her face looks angelic and soft. Her eyes look brighter upon this realization.
"I always thought it was you and me though." She adds.
Finn looks towards her helplessly, trying to find the right words.
"I love you too Raven, always."
She gives him a sad smile.
"But I'm not the one." She recognizes, finding what little peace she can muster.

The tent flap rises slowly, and I start my decent down the red carpet at the same pace my heart rate is beating. Quickly.
Dozens of eyes follow my steps. The man that threatened me, follows closely behind us, trapping us here, forcing us to walk. The grounders to the left and right of the path wear war trophies and paint. They look regal and horrifyingly powerful. Some shoot daggers at me through their eyes, and other give me a creepy, dangerous smirk.
