Octavia's POV-

It's another mild, late summer morning as I sit sharpening my retired sword. After Mount Weather- and disobeying Indra's orders- I've been left with almost nothing. Lincoln was taken back by his people and I hadn't heard from him in over a month, and Bellamy just didn't understand how I cared about him so much.

I twirl my sword in my hand and flex my wrist to mimic the way I used to fight.

I'd thought about traveling to Polis to beg Indra to take me back as her second, but I knew she wouldn't- especially if I begged. What I needed was to prove to her I was worthy. I'm not sure how, but the idea had been in the back of my head.

I stand from the rock I'd been sitting on and begin to make my way inside when I hear guards shouting in the distance from the gate's watchtowers.

"Grounder!!!" A man calls, as guards run to load and aim their guns towards the man.

This catches everyone's attention as a large group forms just inside the gate to watch the spectacle. I join them, curious as to what the commotion is about.

Sure enough, in the distance is a large muscular grounder warrior. I meet his eyes from across the field and my mouth gapes open.

"Lincoln?" I whisper to myself, dropping my sword to run to him.

"Octavia, wait!!" I hear Bellamy call after me, but it's too late. I take off running out of Arkadia, against the guards' orders and collide with Lincoln who hugs me back tightly.

"I thought I would never see you again." I say into his chest.

"I came as quick as I could. I'm so sorry." He responds back, still holding me tightly.

"You don't have anything to be sorry for." I assert, lifting my head from his chest to smile up at him. He smiles back, letting his hardened warrior demeanor turn to ash.

"Are you coming inside?" I ask, referencing the gates of Arkadia where guards hold their weapons and a large mass of people have formed to watch my encounter with a 'grounder warrior.'

"I don't know if I should." He says looking past me towards the loaded guns with their scopes trained on his head.

"My people don't tend to trust yours these days after the mountain." I lightly laugh, making light of the eerie situation.

"What the Commander did was wrong." He asserts.

"She did what she needed to, Lincoln."

"Yeah...maybe." He concludes.

"I'm going back to my place in the woods. Meet me there when it's safe."

"Ok." I tell him, losing myself in his soft, but stoic eyes.

Lexa's POV-

The room before me is silent as I graze my eyes over every individual who bows to me.

"Rise." I command, commencing the meeting.

"We must discuss the matter of Wanheda." Titus announces.

"Yes." I agree.

"Has she been found yet?" The Ouska Ejon Kru representative asks. He is a small, timid man- known for his strategy and whit.

"No. Not yet, but I've summoned you all here today to tell you that I will be traveling with Anya and a small army to find her in 2 days' time."

"Heda, if I may-." Titus starts to argue.

"You may not!" I cut off, fury returning to my tone. He immediately closes his mouth.
