I woke up in a small dark room. I squinted to open my eyes but it was too dark. I looked around and soon realized I was tied to a chair. I could barely see but I noticed under my feet was a concrete floor. I started to freaked out on the inside but I didn't make a sound.
My heart was pounding and my head was spinning. I searched around and finally spotted a small glass window that was very slanted. I didn't know where I was but I recognized the room smelled like chlorine and window cleaning supplies. I knew that my phone was in my pocket but I couldn't get it.
My hands were tied up, which felt like rope. I couldn't move. I closed my eyes to open them back up again. I kept searching with my eyes around the room until I spotted a pocket knife in my back pocket. I squeezed my hands together to try to loosen the rope until I heard a gunshot near me. I was freaking out. I felt tears rushing through my eyes and pain in my left ear.
For a split second I saw a shadow of a man on the door. I couldn't analyze who it was. Suddenly I felt the room getting smaller and tighter as I squinted my eyes. I feel a gush of pain in my left arm again. This time, I felt pins and needles at the bottom of my legs.
The room got lighter and brighter as I tried to twist my hands to loosen the rope off, and finally my hands felt free. I stood up to get a good grip of the chair. I slowly stood on my feet but I was breathing heavy. I spot a bright light coming from the slanted window and took a few steps to reach the handle above to open it. Trying to push it open the seal busted and the window opened fast and wide. I quickly, quietly grip the outside of the window and climb up. Now I was in the back of the school.
I had to catch my breath so I took a moment and sat down. I felt like this day was never going to end. I had a feeling that the person who trapped me in that room was still watching me, trying to murder, or kidnap me. I started walking to the doors to the inside of the gymnazium. I bump into Zoe as I open the door and she looks confused.
"Leah, where were you? I thought you were right behind me?" She stopped to look at my bloody hand. "Zoe, you won't believe me if I tell you this but someone is here and they're trying to shoot us. There's this man, he had a gun and he tied my up in a chair in a hidden room downstairs." Zoe could tell I was freaking out but shook her head.
"Leah, do you hear yourself right now? What are you talking about?!" I just stand there holding my arm in shock while she says I'm crazy. "Zoe, I know I saw someone in the window earlier in Algebra class. You have to believe me!" Zoe just stares at me with her eyebrows down and her arms crossed.
"I'm sorry Leah but I think you're imagining things. You were right behind me when I opened that door and now you're telling me there's a person who kidnapped you after five minutes!" I was shocked after those words. Frustration flooded through me. I couldn't believe this. She didn't believe me!
"You're not listening to me Zoe! Just listen to me!" Zoe turns away and slaps her forehead. "Leah, I'm going back to phy ed and you better come with me this time. Without dropping out of class!" I felt nothing but a giant headache and was shocked by the fact that Zoe thinks I'm crazy! But I agreed to come with her. So I followed her back through the doors.
Even though I told her what just happened, she didn't believe me. I know there's someone following me, but she says I'm seeing things.
