We walked in the gym and saw everyone packing up. It has been an hour since I passed out. I was gone for so long. Zoe thought I dropped out of class. But what she didn't know is that there might be someone breaking into the school. I've never had anything like this happen before, but for some reason I feel like this has happened before. I want to know who it is. Who tied me up downstairs. Who almost shot me. I need to tell someone, like my teacher or the principal, that there is an intruder. But what if they don't believe me like Zoe? Or they think I'm crazy too. After class I need to talk to the principal.
Zoe and I entered the hallway. I turn to the next hallway where the principal's office is but Zoe grabs my wrist.
"Leah? Where are you going? Science is this way?" She tells me like I don't know where I'm going. "I just need to talk to the principal." She crossed her arms again and sighs. "What? That there's a killer trying to break in? She wouldn't believe you because you're seeing things, Leah." My blood started to boil after those words.
"Fine." I didn't feel like arguing with her, so she led me to the next hallway. I followed.
Now we entered the science lab. Zoe and I take a seat at the back of the room. The bell rang and I jumped for the fourth time. We were assigned a lab report for an experiment on dissecting frogs. The report was a packet about three pages long which was due in two days. Our science teacher, Mrs. Selina paired us up into partners of two. Zoe and I were partners so we both grabbed our materials. But the gloves were outside of the door.
"I'm going to go get gloves. I'll be right back." I tell Zoe as I leave the room. The moment I left the room the announcements went on. "Attention all Tiverside High School students, I have a serious announcement to make. This school is under lockdown! So please stay in your classes and stay safe! Thank you." I froze in shock. My heart was pounding again. I felt like I've been in this situation before. I hurried by the door to the classroom. But the door slams in my face. I noticed that the window was open in the classroom so it was windy. I touched the knob, but the door didn't open. I raise my fist up to knock but someone grabs me from behind and pulls me with their hand over my mouth again. I couldn't scream. Nor could I try to speak. No one would be able to hear me with my mouth covered. All the doors in the hallway were closed and the lights were off. I couldn't see anything. I tried everything I could to scream, but nothing. I shut my eyes and blacked out.
