I've been part of the sully family since my mother died in the war. I was a baby and Jake and Neytiri took me in after her death. You wonder what happened to my father? I never met him.
I'm since 17 years here and I still get scared looks from the other clan members but how can I be surprised? I have five fingers and red eyes. When I go out everyone lower their eyes to the ground. No one wants to look at me but it's okey. I'm already used to that.
I am very grateful to jake and neytiri. they give me a home and they make me feel loved everyday. Their children are like siblings to me. kiri is like a best friend, i love how we gossip about the whole family. neteyam is always there for me and lo'ak is sometimes really annoying, i think he got a rebellious puberty phase but i still love him like a little brother and tuk is literally the cutest kid that exists.
we lived so peacefully together until the sky people came back.
lo'ak wanted to go into battle and has almost killed himself and neteyam. I was in front of the house with kiri and we heard jake yell at them.
»was this really necessary?« i ask them as they came out.
-»shut up tikeyna« lo'ak answered and walked just away.
»hey, don't talk to her like that!« neteyam shouted after him.
lo'ak just turned around showing him his middle fingers. me and kiri started giggling but neteyam didn't think it was that funny. i pointed to the place next to me on the ground for neteyam to sit down.
»i think he's on his period« kiri said about lo'ak.
»good thought, it may well be possible« i said before we both started laughing.
i felt neteyam's eyes on me, he always looked at me like that so it's nothing new. it's just always a little uncomfortable to feel like you're being watched all the time.
we stop laughing immediately when jake and neytiri came out of the house.
»so what's there to laugh about?« jake asked with a smile when he saw us so happy.
»nothing dad, it's just loak as always« kiri said.
»i heard that!« yelled loak offended as he walked towards us again. Kiri rolled just her eyes in response.
then neytiri started to speak; »kids, we have to tell you something please come in«
they told us that we will leave our home to protect us from the war with the sky people. I fully understand the reasons but i will miss our home. i hate meeting new people, i already know that everyone there will hate me without knowing me. i hate change and i hate the sky people. after they telling us i went out of the house. i went into the forest and sat down in front of a lake. i love this place, every time i'm sad i come to this place to calm down. I throw stones into the lake and got lost in my thoughts.
