Chapter 8

PANS P.O.V

after I blew the sleeping dust in her face and wished her good night, I walked out of my tent. I spotted Felix right away, he was either sitting by him self watch the boys, by my side because he was second in commend, or training with the boys.
He looked up at me and I signaled him to follow. he, of course followed me as we walked a few yards away from camp.
" Keep the boys away from her, I don't need them getting in the way" I told Felix, he nodded and we both looked backed at the boys playing and then to my tent.
" can do"
" I'll be taking her to see the mermaids once she has her energy back, they could be of some use"

SARAH'S P.O.V

I woke up to the smell of bacon, I have always loved it. I got out of the bed and folded the blankets back to where they were, I tip toed to the exit of the tent and peeked through it.
I could just barley see them through all the fur. They were all sitting on logs, rocks, stools, and the ground, stuffing there faces with fruit, eggs, and, of course bacon.
I leaned in a little and tripped on something, I fell down almost smashing my face in the dirt, but a pear of arms grabbed me and pulled me back up to my feet.
" Thank you" I whispered to pan, the one who caught me. he nodded and walked away. To only return with a plate of food in his hand, and with the other grabbed my shoulder, not gentle but not rough either. He led me back to his tent and closed the flap of it behind him.
I sat down where I had slept and looked down at my lap. I wish I didn't go out, that was embarrassing, bit because I fell in front of people, but because he caught me.
" Here" he said pulling me out if my thoughts, I looked up at him, he put the plate in my hands. I looked down again at it, I picked up a small strawberry and nibbled on it.
I heard pan shuffle a little, I saw him pull up a stool and sit. I could feel him staring at me, it was so uncomfortable.
After I finally finished eating I set the plate down on my lap and looked up at him. he nodded and got up and grabbed a dark brown and light green shirt and tossed it at me. I caught it and he walked out I was still waiting the same thing I had when I token.
I slipped of the dirty shirt and slipped on, the slightly, cleaner one the gave me. after I didn't know what to do so I poked my head out, being careful I didn't trip while doing so. I could see pan talking to a tall blond boy, they both looked at me and smiled, not a sweet one either.
Pan waved his hand at me, gesturing for me to go up to the two. I slowly and carefully got out of the tent and made my way around everyone. I could feel eyes watching every move, it was really creepy I wanted to yell at them and ask why they were looking at me, but I bit my tongue.
I was finally in front of them, I kept my head down, not wanting to make any eye contact.
" Well, look who's finally out" the boy said the both chuckled at his remark
" Sarah, this is Felix, he's my second in command, so when I'm busy gone, every one had to listen to him, but my rules are the same" I just nodded, not wanting to speak
"Well, what's got you so quiet?" The boy- Felix- remarked I said nothing, he was right. I got quite, because I was scared that they would put me back in the cage, or hit me, send me back to the house, or worse, kill me. I don't know what got in to me to talk and act the way I had when I first got here, I guess it was me being defensive and scared.
" Lets go" pan called he started to walk away, further into the forest. I had followed, its not like I could run away again, I gave up on that option. he would catch me again, and where could I go? I don't this place, I would be wondering around in circles.
A while later i looked up, pan was still in front of me, leading the way to... I don't know, or cared. I started hearing giggles and splashes of water, the mermaids.
I stopped in my tracks, causing him to look back at me. he motioned me to continue, but I shook my head an took at step back. he walked up to me, a little upset and grabbed my hand. he started to pull me to where they were.

We stopped near the pond, they all looked at us, stopping what they were doing. pan let go of my hand and walked over to the redhead, Laura.
I watched as they whispered, when I saw that one was staring at me and started to slowly swim up to me. she had night black hair, and like the other mermaids, was stunning.
She was right in front of me and started reaching out, I did the same. but before are finger tips touched, I was pushed and fell in a bush. I looked up to see pan had done it and was leaning over the mermaid and had a sneer in his face.
He whispered something to her and she glared in response. Laura called her stopping her from doing anything else .
"Clover! GO!" Laura called, they hissed at each other until, clover, dipped back in the water. Laura looked at the others and they followed clover.
Pan hurried and got her up, out of the bush. " I'm sorry about clover" Laura called

Laura's P.O.V

I was talking to pan, when I saw clover about to pull Sarah in the water about to drown her in the corner of my eye. I was about to call her to stop when pan jumped up and pushed Sarah away causing her to stumbled into a bush.
Pan leaned over to clover " dare touch her and, well... me and the boys have been feeling like sushi, how's that sound?" his threat made shivers go down my spine. Clover just glared at him, testing him.
" Clover!" I called she looked at me with a darker glare "GO!" we didn't need more problems with pan. clover dipped in to the water, once she was gone. pan got up and helped Sarah out if the bush.
I looked over to Scarlett, she had stunning blond hair, and Christina, she had night black hair like clover.
I nodded for them to catch up to her, and make sure that she wouldn't do anything to hurt her self. she was always causing trouble when she got up set, I couldn't have that.
They followed her and I turned back to Sarah and pan " I'm sorry about clover" I said Sarah nodded
" Why, what's wrong?" she asked, pan and I looked at each other
" come over here, I'll explain some stuff that pan wants you to know" I lied, pan only wanted to know. but I needed to read her before I can be able to say anything.
