Daisy POV
As I made my way downstairs, I couldn't believe that Dominic had helped me with my eye. I was grateful, but also confused as to why he was being nice to me all of a sudden. When I entered the living room, I saw Silvia, who looked irritated. "You're late," she replied, sounding annoyed.
"I'm sorry, I was..." I started to say.
"Does it look like I care about your excuses? Don't be late again. Now come on. Follow me," she said, as she explained my duties.
After finishing my tasks, I met Lily in the hallway. She jumped into my arms, excitedly exclaiming, "Daisy!"
"Hi, Lily! How was your class?" I asked.
"It was so much fun. Do you know how to swim, Daisy?" she asked me.
"No, Lily, I never learned," I replied.
"You should come to swimming classes with me," she suggested.
"Maybe one day, Lily. Right now, why don't we go to your room to finish your homework?" I said.
Lily frowned. "Ok," she said, as I carried her to her room. We walked inside, and I was astonished to see that her room was fit for a princess.
I helped Lily with her homework, and before I knew it, it was time for her bedtime. "Ok, Lily, let me tuck you in. It's time for bed," I said.
"No, Daisy, why? I don't want you to go. Could you stay with me in my room? Or could I stay in your room?" she asked me, with pleading eyes.
"I don't know if your brother would be OK with that, Lily," I responded honestly. I didn't want to make him upset.
Then, we heard a knock on the door. We both looked up and saw Dominic standing at the door.
"D!" Lily said, running to give him a hug.
"D, could Daisy stay here with me? Or can I spend the night in her room?" she asked Dominic.
Dominic looked down at her. "Lils, I don't think it would be comfortable for Daisy to spend the night with you," he said.
Lily looked sad. "But I'm scared, D. I'm scared of sleeping by myself. Daisy makes me feel safe when I'm with her."
I felt touched by Lily's words. "I really don't mind if that's OK with you, Dominic. I can stay here with her, or we can stay in my room. Of course, if that's OK with you," I said, looking at Dominic.
I could feel Dominic's intense eyes on me. "That's fine, as long as you're OK with it," he responded.
"Yay, thank you, D! You're the best big brother ever," Lily said.
Dominic smiled at Lily. "Ok, it's time for bed now. You have school tomorrow."
"Ok," she sighed.
"Come on, Lily, let's get you into your pj's, and I'll tell you a bedtime story before you go to bed," I said.
Lily's face lit up. "Really, Daisy? Yay!" she said as she ran into her closet.
"I'm going out for a bit," Dominic said. I simply nodded, and he walked out the door.
After I tucked Lily in and told her a story, I played with her hair until she fell asleep. As I left her room, I noticed that it was about 12 a.m., and I couldn't sleep. "I should change into my pajamas," I thought to myself, and I opened the door to leave. That's when I saw Dominic standing. He didn't look like his usual tidy self.
"I'm was going to change into some pajamas before I went to bed," I said.
"I forgot you didn't have any clothes with you," he said.
"I was going to ask Silvia if I could borrow something." I simply replied.
"I'll take you to your home to gather your thing tomorrow and say goodbye to your roommates," he said. "In the meantime, follow me," he said. I simply nodded my head and followed him. He walked into what seemed to be his room, and I was hesitant on going inside. "I said to follow me," he said in an irritated voice. " I stepped inside his room.
I looked around, and I was amazed at how big his room was. He took off his coat and threw it on the bed. He then disappeared into his closet, and he came out with a hoodie and sweat pants. I looked up at him and instantly noticed some hickeys on his neck. I guess he went to see his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry I don't have anything else," he said, interrupting my thoughts.
"This is perfect, thank you," I whispered. "I'm going to go to bed." I said as I walked to the door.
He nodded and said "alright see you tomorrow. Goodnight Daisy." He said.
"Goodnight, Dominic," I said as I closed the door.
