Chapter 1: Disciple of Two

Third Person's POV:

A sinister laugh echoed the League's bar as soon as a certain wanted criminal had heard the news, seeming to believe it was the funniest thing anyone could've ever said to him.

"All for One's heir? A shrimp like you? Ha! If you really are his son, then I'm All Might!" Izuku's distaste for the notorious villain could easily be noticed in his eyes, but the sinister man didn't seem to care. He continued to taunt the boy as if he had just stated he was going to bring about world peace.

   Izuku's patience was starting to run thin and he couldn't stand the feeling of being looked down on anymore. He slammed his fists against the counter with a cold glare. "The day you are above my father is the day you are free to look down on me. In the mean time, keep your knife where your mouth is, Stain."

   The entire room fell so silent, you could hear a pin drop. The other villains put down their drinks to look at the green haired boy, convinced he had a death wish. Usually, Izuku would try to lay low and avoid conflict with the other villains. Today, however, Izuku was in a terrible mood.

   Not only had his father kept his promise of refusing contact until he received All Might's quirk, but he had been training his body tirelessly and was forced to sleep on the run down couch of the League's hideout because his father moved everything out of the house he grew up in overnight. As if that wasn't enough, his father taunted him, saying to come back when he wasn't useless. In short, the boy was pissed.

   If it were up to Izuku, he would spend every waking moment with All Might, pushing himself to his limits despite being tired. However, doing so would raise suspicion to All Might about why he never goes home. To make matters worse, he had to deal with these criminals whenever he was supposed to be 'home'. The thought of All Might, whom he considered far more of a father than his own, abandoning him made his eyes grow cold, his identity hidden behind a black face mask.

   Despite being quirkless, there was an uneasy atmosphere in the League because of him, as if their boss was somehow in the room. He wasn't, but that's what it felt like to the other villains. It made them uncomfortable, most of them glaring at the boy. Who was this kid, whom no one was allowed to attack by All for One's orders? There's no way he was actually that devil's son. Yet, all the villains were forced to obey All for One, not daring to defy a direct order. That is, all villains except for one.

   After a few moments of eye contact between the blood curling murderer and Izuku, Stain lets out a dark chuckle, amused by the determined look in the boy's eyes. "Ha.. you truly believe you have the authority to talk to me that way?" He reaches forward and grabs Izuku by the throat with a cold glare, whispering low enough so only Izuku could hear him. 'Aren't you quirkless?'

   Izuku's eyes widen and he grips Stain's wrist tightly, glaring at the villain despite being very afraid. Even so, Izuku couldn't say anything. If he dies here, his mother would be at the mercy of his father, who was clearly a piece of shit. Izuku couldn't risk it. After all, Stain was right. It's not like he had the authority to do anything. All of these criminals knew that he was nothing but a pebble on the street that they could kick around if they wanted to. Heir or not, he was weak.

   Stain grinned from ear to ear, a look that sent shivers down Izuku's spine. Even so, Izuku wasn't able to look away. He looked the hero killer in the eyes, swallowing nervously before he smiled, the way All Might taught him to do in the face of fear.

"You.. won't kill me. You don't like unnecessary bloodshed, and I'm not even a hero.." Despite the kid being young and quirkless, something about that smile irked Stain.

   It took a few moments for Stain to pinpoint why. His eyes bore deeper into Izuku's expression, trying to unpuzzle why it looked so familiar. Izuku thought of his hero, All Might, who was also now his mentor. He had to be strong like All Might. Even if he were to die here, he would die with a heroic smile on his face.
