Deku's POV:

After taking Shoto far away from the Todoroki house, Tomura finally stops the car. I had been nervously fidgeting the entire time, still not completely trusting of the villains just yet.

"Izumura." I flinch at the sound of my name, quickly looking up. Shoto noticed my nervous behavior and eyed the villains. He seemed to trust me enough to come with us, which gave me enough reason to trust him for now, despite us being strangers. However, I could only hope I wouldn't regret bringing him.

"I know this wasn't part of the plan, okay? I know you heard me say I wanted to be a hero.. but I'm doing it because I need strength. I won't interfere with anything you do, so-" I'm cut off by Dabi, who I now know is Todoroki Touya.

"We're not killing you, idiot. The hero part is annoying, but we'll worry about that later." A sigh of relief escapes me as I glance at the scarred man before turning my gaze to my adoptive older brother.

Tomura had parked the car on the side of the road over a mountain, giving us a beautiful view of the city. He sighs, putting down the windows so we could breathe before turning off the car. It was well past nighttime which made me nervous.

"I didn't know you were going through the same shit I did.. or how much you hated our son of a bitch father.." Touya spoke, glancing at Shoto from the passenger seat. I follow his gaze, looking down at the bandaged burns on the half-haired boy's arms.

Shoto's brows furrowed and he looks up in confusion. "You said you would help me become a hero, but.. you're all villains. None of you can help me become a hero.."

"I'm not a villain." I state firmly, causing the three of them to look at me in shock. I lower my gaze to my now scarred hands. "My father is a villain, and he wants me to become like him. No.. he wants me to be worse than him. I don't trust him, I know he has something really bad planned for me. He doesn't care about me or anyone. He'll kill anyone who disappoints him, hero or villain."

Tomura stays silent for a moment before speaking up. "For someone who was raised away from father, you sure seem to know him well.." Shoto seemed confused, so Tomura spoke up. "I was adopted by this one's father. We're technically brothers.."

He seemed to understand. Touya and Shoto look at each other for a moment before Touya opens the car door. "Come out. Let's talk for a bit, and let them do the same." Shoto hesitates before deciding to oblige. He glances at me for a moment before getting out of the car with his brother, leaving me alone with mine.

I tense as Tomura reaches into his jacket, relaxing slightly when I realize he was taking out a pack of cigarettes to smoke. If he's smoking, he'll probably be more relaxed. My chances of dying will go down, then. "I don't trust father."

My brows furrow a little at his statement, silently watching Tomura light a cigarette. He offers me one but I shake my head. "N-No, thank you.." He shrugs and takes a puff. I fall silent, waiting for him to elaborate on what he said.

"Father has been keeping secrets from me. He never told me about you until after I asked him based on the rumors I heard going around and some of the villains I recruited into the League are starting to disappear. He promised I would inherit his quirk one day, but.." He inhales some more smoke for a moment before blowing it out. Soon enough, the entire car smelled like pure cigarettes. "..I can't really understand why he would do that. The more I think about it, the less it makes sense. If he does give me his quirk, it contradicts his goal in the first place.."

"Because you think I may know him better, as his son.. you want me to figure out what he's thinking for you.." Tomura nods, confirming my suspicion. "Even if you ask me, I don't think I'll be of much help.."
