Hitoshi's POV:

Aizawa comes to pick me up in the morning and I already had all my stuff out on the lawn. He wanted to pick a fight with my parents about it, but I urged him not to. As I was about to get in the car, my eyes widen at the sight of the little girl Izumura saved before.

Her eyes seem to shine and she quickly gets out of the car. Her little feet run around the car as she tears up, quickly hugging me tight. "Big brother..!" My heart melts and I hug back gently, looking up at Aizawa in confusion.

"Oh, I see you two are getting along already. Let me introduce you. Eri, this is Hitoshi. Hitoshi, this is Eri. You'll be siblings from now on." Aizawa closes the trunk once we've finished putting all my stuff in there.

Eri seemed really happy to hear that and I smile down at her. We both had a shared secret, so we would definitely get along well. "Nice to meet you, Eri.." I wink at her. She wipes her tears away with a shy little smile, letting go of the hug after a few more moments.

Aizawa and I spend the day buying things for my room and Eri's. I chose to pick out a minimal amount of things, already grateful enough to finally have a father who can look me in the eyes. Eri and I had a lot of fun. I never knew I needed a little sibling until I had one. She's so cute.

Eri would hold both our hands when we had to cross the street and she would try to hurry at our pace. We slowed down once we realized, which helped her keep up. Night fell and we stopped for a moment when our new dad got a phone call.

"Hold on, I have to take this. You two stay here, don't move. Got it?" Eri and I both look at each other before turning our gaze back to Aizawa, nodding in sync. He smiles a bit before walking away to take the call.

A few minutes passed and Aizawa hadn't come back yet. I was getting bored so I look around, seeing a mini mart across the street. I look down at Eri. "You hungry? Should we get a snack while w-?!" I'm interrupted by a loud sound coming from an alley a few feet away. I flinch, quickly picking up Eri and hugging her to make sure she's safe.

Eri was shaking violently in my arms, tearing up from the scare. I watch a dog run out and at first, I thought it was probably the dog. However, the dog tripped and got up, running away fast with a scared look. It was clearly not the dog. As if that wasn't enough, it started to rain.

I look down at Eri, who was shaking in fear. I take a deep breath, hugging Eri close and walking under the bus station stop beside us to take shelter from the rain. I should wait for Aizawa. I'm not a pro hero and I don't want to get caught up in anything while I'm in charge of Eri.

About fifteen minutes pass, then twenty, nearly thirty minutes and I'm about to go find our dad myself when I suddenly get a text from Izuku, who hadn't answered our group chat all day.

My eyes widen when I realize it's his location, which was startlingly close to where the noise had come from. "Eri.. close your eyes. Just in case.." Eri quickly hugs me closer while hiding her face in the crook of my neck.

Without thinking twice, I rush over to the place where the sound came from and I gasp. I'm so glad I made Eri cover her eyes, she would've screamed if she saw. Deku had his mask on and was passed out on the ground. There was a large dent in the lid of the garbage bin, as if he had been dropped down from a high place.

Red. There was blood all over his hands and face, but I couldn't tell if the blood was actually his or not. He was clearly passed out and I didn't know what to do. "Eri.. don't open your eyes, no matter what.. please trust me. Do you remember big brother Izumura?"

Eri nods, seeming to relax a little after I mentioned him. "Um.. is big brother Izumura here..? Why was there a loud n-noise..?" I put her down, making sure she hasn't opened her eyes.
