Dominic's POV
When I went to Tamika's workplace earlier, her annoying coworker informed me that she had called in sick.
So I cleared my schedule and took the day off to check on her.
I've been waiting In front of her house for a minute now and I'm starting to wonder if a make-up she a put on mek she nu open the damn grill yet.
"Tamika!" I call out, she's taking too long now.
I didn't get an answer, but I was thrilled to see her standing at the doorway, puzzled, looking at me.
"A wa?" I ask with a half smile on my face.
Even though it's only been a few days, it feels like I haven't seen her in weeks.
Think I really did miss her.
"And what is your business here?" She asks, now standing at the grill.
I look at her from head to toe and almost laugh. "Yuh fava granny tho."
She hiss and turn to go back inside, and I quickly say, "Wait a joke, but where is your socks? Isn't the ground too cold?"
"Why do you care so much all of a sudden?" She doesn't sound like herself; her voice is hoarse.
Mek she sound like man.
"Why you giving me the cold shoulder?" I ask, biting down on my bottom lip and raisings a brow.
As if yuh nu know why..
Shh, mi wa see something.
"You really asking me that? How long now mi text you and all now you nu respond 'A' to mi." She says, walking back to the grill and pointing her index at me.
A now she look like old smady.
I chuckle at my thoughts.
Well at least god on my side, cause it seems like she didn't see the messages.
So all along mi shame fi nothing and a ignore the lady for nothing!
She have a right fi a cuss mi.
"I'm sorry I wa-
"Dominic if you ever tell mi say you busy mi cough Pon you, wa so hard in texting me?" Her hands are folded over each other and her face expression dares me to answer cheekily.
"I know, and I apologize, but just open the grill mi ago grab somethings from my car." I turn and walk to her gate, not hearing what she just said.
When I drive in and park I just realize her car isn't in the yard.
wonder why.
I take the soup that I got for her, at juicy beef, from the cup holder and the medication my friend at the pharmacy recommended, then lock up the vehicle.
She holds the grill while I walk in with my full hands and mumbles as she close it.
I shake my head while I chuckle and slide my shoes off.
I set down the medications on the center table and walk to the kitchen with the now warm soup.
If she never did a woll conference with mi it wouldn't get so cold.
While I wait for the microwave to finish warming the soup, she enters into the kitchen with folded hands and a frown on her face.
"You know yuh funny tho." She says out of the blue.
"No, duh say them things bout mi, which part a mi yuh see funny? No Tamika nu diss mi Suh." I shake my head no for emphasis.
Yuh know wa them say bout funny man?
