"Dedushka had no right to talk trash about mom like that, but that didn't give you any right to say the things you've said to him." Affie said as she and her older sister walked in the dining room, which was where their father, who was sitting on one of the chairs, was.
"Why not?" Ruv asked curtly.
"Because he is your father." Essie said.
"Not by my standards." Ruv said. "He and that woman mean nothing to me. To me, they're just strangers."
"We get it, considering how mom literally resurrected them without consulting you first." Affie said. "But the reason she resurrected them because she wanted you to have other family members to be close to and because she wanted you to bond and spend quality time with other people besides us. So just try to tolerate and spend time with them without being a pain in the a...pplesauce and sparking up arguments like Selever does with you."
"Nyet." Was their father's reply.
"You do not have to return the love and care they have for you." Essie said. "We will not force you to. You are you, you have your feelings and opinions about others and we cannot control that. But just spend time with and socialize with other people besides us. Merely having small talk with them is fine, so long as you make effort to talk and spend time with them."
Before Ruv could reply, Sarv walked in.
"Hey, Sarv."
"Hi, mom."
"Hello, mother." Ruv, Essie and Affie said in unison.
Sarv greeted them back before turning to her husband. "I got your text. What happened?"
Time froze, and Essie and Affie turned to the viewers.
"Of course he texted mom." An exasperated Affie said. "We should've known he'd text her about this."
"That explains why he was looking at his phone when we were approaching him." Essie said.

"He needs time to adjust, Ruv." A barely phased Sarv said after Ruv, Essie and Affie had explained the exchange between Ruv and Krus.
"They need to get the [funk] out, that's what he needs to do." Ruv said.
"Ruv/father..." Essie and Sarv started.
"No. I'm not budging on this one." Ruv said, cutting his wife and eldest daughter off. "He and that woman are out, TODAY."
"Ruv, please." Sarv started. "Just give him a little more time."
"He's not going to adjust in time, Sarv." Ruv said. "I know his type. He has an opinion of you that won't change."
"That's...assuming, don't you think?" Affie asked. Ruv glared at her, a non-verbal cue that she's d3@d if she says anything else. She muttered a small apology before hiding between Essie, hoping that she wouldn't have to change her pants and panties...again. (SPOILER ALERT: She has to)
"I remember someone else who hated and had a low opinion of me that changed their mind with time." Sarv said.
"Who?"
"I think mother is referring to you, father." Essie answered for her mother.
"No, no, no, absolutely not! I am nothing like him. Don't you [funking] dare suggest that."
"You physically fought and tried to k!ll me, Ruv." Sarv said. "That's worse than anything Krusveto ever did."
"Sarv..." Ruv trailed off as he felt a strong wave of guilt wash over him.
