"Where's dad?" Rasazy asked when Sarv, Essie, and Affie walked back downstairs.

"He's in our room, sweetie." Sarv answered.

"Oh, okay."

"We'll go and check on dedushka." Affie said. "You three stay here and be good, alright?"

"Okay." Rasazy and Penelope said in unison.

"Can I come?" Melody asked.

"If you want, then sure." Essie said. With that, the four walked to the property next door where Rsch and Krus now lived.

Melody knocked on the door, and after a couple minutes, Krus opened the door and they saw his expression change from a neutral to an uneasy one.

"Oh, hello. I, uh..."

"We're sorry, dedushka." Essie apologized, cutting her grandfather off as he stammered. "Is this a bad time?"

"We just wanted to check on Rschvania." Sarv said. "We figured if she feels even a fraction as bad as I do right now, she might need this."

She held out two aspirin in her hand.

Krus smiled nervously and avoided eye contact with her. "Rsch is feeling lousy, yes, but she won't be needing any medicine. She was a very tough woman."

Affie's POV

That was obviously a lie. I've never experienced a hangover before, but I know that aspirin or some kind of painkillers are something that is always needed, and dedushka's body language just confirms that babushka IS feeling just as bad as mom is right now; he just doesn't want her taking the aspirin, most likely because of his aversion to mom and fear of it being laced with something. I don't blame him for that, considering he was raised in a church for half his life.

"Are you sure?" Affie questioned. "There's no p0!$0n in it, if that's what you're thinking. Me, Essie, and Melody made sure of it."

"Yes, I'm sure." Krus answered.

"If you insist..." Affie said reluctantly.

"I see." Sarv said. "I'm glad she's not totally wrecked from our...fun this morning. Speaking of that, I'm sorry for suggesting it and getting both of us drvnk."

Krus said nothing, but her apology was clearly unforgiven.

"We didn't just come over to give aspirin." Melody said. "We also wanted to invite you and prababushka to come over to our place for late lunch."

"I don't think that will be necessary." Krus said. "Rsch is already full from the breakfast your mother and aunt made for her. And even though she doesn't need any aspirin, she's a bit sluggish from her hangover and needs to rest."

Melody tilted her head in confusion. "She got full from just eating pirozhki?"

"The filling had meat, rice, mushroom, and onions."

"Oh, okay. Good point."

"We understand, but I'm insisting the both of you at least have dinner with us tonight." Sarv said. "I'm sure the both of you will be hungry enough by then."

"We also haven't stocked up your house with food yet, so we know you haven't eaten anything else." Affie said.

Krus visibly became more tense than he already was (if that were possible). "There's no need to stock up our house with food."
