With one word from the King everyone mounted back on their horses and followed the King further east in formation. They trotted onward and the plains of the hills stretched for miles, no sight of any city or castle yet. His mustang whined as they entered the tall grass and flooded ground. (Wow winter here must have been just as harsh) Eron thought has the water sealed into his ankles. (Much deeper then I thought) Eron sighed as the icy water splashed on his leg and his mustangs pelt dripped. "Your majesty?" One of the soldiers started with a concerned tone.
"I know" King Aron silenced him, "just keep pushing on, not all visits will be this flooded" he assured.

Eron nodded but focused on keeping his horse moving, trotting through the swamp like hills. They all trotted onward, their horses whining as the cold water soaked throught there fur. The wind, wiped up the long grass that tickled the horses and every now and then, Eron and the other soldiers. Looking up he saw how clear the sky was but that didn't change the how icy and bitter the wind is. (So am I and the other soldiers gonna meet the Opul King face to face or just in the throne room?) He asked himself, distracting himself from the cold water that soaked passed his armor. (What would he be like? From what I know he is immortal too, still looking like he's in his 20's) he thought more about the subject, keeping his horse moving to try and keep keep him from bucking. (Oh I know boy, it's cold, but keep moving) he thought looking at the pinned ears and swaying head.

The water slowly left from his ankles and his horse sped up to escape the water, the mustang shaked the water off and followed the formation of dripping horses and armor. "Alright just to climb this last hill" the king spoke and pointed at the steep hill that stretched further east. The formation continued trotting, climbing and after a while of the horses struggling they had to dismount and climb themselves with the horses rains still in their hands. Eron climbed with the soldiers, slipping on the mud a couple times. His horse whining and pushing forward. "Almost there!" The king called as the gold armor shined in the sunlight, at the top of the hill. Eron and the other soldiers made their way to their king, the sun high above the sky. Eron held back a gasp at the large and pretty city at the bottom of the hill, spreading far underneath all the nabering hills.

Ontop of the largest hill a castle that looked like gold and sapphires sat comfortably. The road neat and shining up the hill and the realisation that he had to climb that hill too hit harder then a bolder. (I hope you can make it with out trouble Strawberry) Eron thought as he mounted his horse and followed the King down the old road to the city. It didn't take long for them to reach the city's gates, an elf gard stood looking down at them from the short tower. "You king Aron?" The gard asked narrowing his eyes and looking deeply at each soldier.
"Yes let us through" King Aron ordered and the gard nodded and open the gates. The gate opened slowly letting them through and the city's noise and business immediately road loudly as they trotted down the main roads.

Eron saw how different the city's are between the elfs and humans. The human city's are somewhat packed and full of the work rush that keeps the economy going but here. The elfs city was spread out, full of spices and new herbs and public access to magic. Stalls and shops were open wide for the customers to wonder freely, multiple stalls for enchantments and potions. (As if witchcraft is a regularity) Eron thought trotting down in the formation with the other soldiers. It was only an hour in of trotting did Eron realise how large the city was and the frightening distance the castle really is. The king had no sight of stopping though, his horse trotting through the shining road into the heart of the city. A tall great hall stood, full of jewls to decorate the building, outside multiple hitching posts for the horses. "Here, we rest here for tonight" the king ordered and hitched his horse. A water trough between each post for the horses to drink and rest. Eron followed the King into the hall, the inside more grand and full of decorating then Eron has seen in his Kings castle.

(Wow) Eron thought sitting on one of the large tables for them to sit and wait. (This is more then I expected, what would the castle be like? It looked grand from a far, it might just blow my mind) Eron looked around, his king sitting on a larger chair infront of his soldiers. "King Devon is buissy at the moment your highness" an elf soldier bowed at king Aron, "we will provide you and your men with food and drink" he explained.
"Thank you, we'll be here" King Aron dismissed him and leand back on the chair, tiredness fulling the Kings face. Eron couldn't stop himself from yawning, the wooden seat wasn't that bad in comfort but most definitely beautiful. For the rest of the day they all rested, a few even able to get an hour of sleep. Eating dinner as the sun threatened to set, Eron began to think through what the elf King would be like. From the stories and rumers he was fair to his kingdom, but many others has fallen for being in his way and there was a mix of understanding of what he was personally like.
