Carful planning

Devon breathed the icy air from the top of his tower, watching to the far hills behind his castle and further down the hill, his city. The sun was setting as he watched the far fields, thinking deeply to himself. (This winter has been harsh on my kingdom) he thought with a sigh, (the new lands that the Garnet kingdom holds so greedily will prove so useful to me. If only I could get an answer from the Magnetite kingdom soon, I sent him a letter month's ago!) He hissed, gripping the stone walls of his tower. Observing a distant hawk that swooped down and re-entered the sky with what looked to be a rabbit, Devon saw it has an omen. (The hawk won so quickly, what if, just maby, this war I've been planning for years, decades, would be the same.)

"Excuse me your majesty" panted a messenger from behind him, clearly thought he could just run the stairs of the tower.
"You couldn't have knocked!" Devon snapped, narrowing his eyes and frowning at the young boy.
"I'm sorry your majesty but I got the letter from the King of Magnetite" he was out of breath and sweating, clearly unfit for such a run, (at least he has learned now) Devon thought, narrowing his eyes further. The messenger handed him the royal letter, still sealed.
"Good, you know to not open them like the last messenger" Deven sighed, taking the letter and opening it, "you are dismissed" he read the letter as the messenger left, closing the doors behind him.

"Dear King Devon
It has been a while since I have read your letter and with a council meeting I have made the decision to join you with the war plan, under the assumption that part of the land will also be under my control once we win. I have sent an army to your barracks already to join you in any early attacks. I and an immortal that has been discovered in my kingdom will be seeing you shortly, maby he can be a use to you? Send a letter back to a date of witch we can meet and discuss the plans for the war you're planning to start and we shall continue from then on.

Sincerely King Alon"

Devon smiled, a laugh balled from his throat and he put the letter away in his pocket. (Another immortal! How!? Oh I don't care this changes everything! This is perfect!) Deven went back to his chambers, a large grin on his face as he walked. His gards clearly took notice as they bowed with a mildly curious looks when he passed. Closing his chambers door and setting the letter down on the desk, he sat down making a mini plan for this new immortal. (I should keep him close, battle with him, assess him and make sure he's ready. I could always turn the relationship more personal if needed) his thoughts raced. Thinking through and watched as pieces fell together in his head. Picking up a quill and a pice of paper he began to write his response,
"Dear King Alon

I have received your note and I will be free for you and your immortal to visit at any time within the next 3 weeks, I will be awaiting you.

Sincerely King Devon".
He sent the letter to a messenger so that Alon can get his message. "Aias! Prepare the castle for visitors" Devon ordered to his servant who stood close to the door, he bowed and left the room with a.
"Of cause your majesty". Devon went back to his chambers, thinking and planning on how to keep this new immortal under his control. (I shouldn't risk it, keeping him in a more personal relationship with me won't harm.) He sighed, (let's hope he's actually cute) he thought leaning back on his desk chair.

(For any of these plans to work he has to be loyal to his King, just so I can even get a chance to get close to him. Once I meet him in person I'll get an idea on where I stand in the plan, that hawk omen was right after all.) Deven went through his jernal again and again and again, feeling the leather of the outside and the wore down paper that only built up over the centuries, looking over the plans of each outcome of how to win the war. (The land holds a secret that I doubt the Garnet kingdom even knows about, it will be their downfall and the original plan that I made all those years ago can finally be possible. I just need that immortal to trust me, I won't leave him out, he's the only one who can actually stand a change against me... I just need him to trust me.) He sighed, closing the leather jernal and putting it back in his draw and taking of the royal gown and resting on his bed, allowing the chill air to hit his body. Although he could feel the cold and parts of the pain it causes, it could never harm him properly. Any killing blow either broke the weapon or went through him causing no pain, only feelings of pressure. (And for another to exist, I believe that only one of each race can exist, one elf, one human. This is just exiting, thrilling! I just can't wait to just get a glimps of this immortal.)
