Eron was riding Wat's mustang, he and Holm was riding to the Opul castle together. "Do you miss these old trail rides, sorry it isn't with Strawberry" Holm spoke, giving an apologetic look.
"Like you said, he'll find his way back" Eron smiled but his worry clearly found its way out.
"Yeah... well at least we get some time together again, been a long while" Holm breathed in and gave a mastiff look. "We're in range for a race" he grinned.
"You're on!" Eron immediately began to galop Wat's horse. The best thing about him is that this horse was fast. They galloped down the road, the race was in neck to neck. Eron saw the castle in distance and galloped the horse until he made his way to the courtyard. The horse was huffing but pranced around in glee for having such a run. Holm arrived not even a minute later, "I taught you well" he chuckled.

"You did" Eron dismounted and gave the rains to the stable hand, Holm already at the front gate.
"Let's head to the throne room, King Devon went mad when he realised that you was gone" Holm explained. "I wasn't there but Ulli was, he said that he arrived in the courtyard happy. He went to tell you something in the victory but he paniced when couldn't find you. He sent a full command to retrace your steps and they found you tied to back of the Garnet horse" he explained walking up the halls, "he really does care for you" he added. Eron smiled, feeling his cheeks warm up and blush, (ugh say what you want Holm). "I bet you care for him to" Holm teased but stopped when he opened the throne room doors.

Eron looked around the room, there was a few soldiers but it was clear that Devon isn't here. "Oh look it's the whore" the messenger that has been taunting him joked. "You doing alright?" He then added.
"I'm fine... quite call me a whore!" Eron snapped but the messenger only smiled as if this is just a big inside joke. "I mean it! What ever spy the Garnet kingdom have, they all think I'm a whore now" he explained and the messengers eyes widened.
"There's a spy!?" The messenger spat the last word, "I'll get you king Devon" he left, going towards his chambers.
"Wow" Holm half joked, "already got enemies I see" a chuckle rose from his throat.
"No, just some messenger who keeps walking in the room" Eron sighed, "but yeah there's been words of a spy that's how they knew of the plan but that's the only one they know".

"A what!?" Devon called and Eron turned and was immediately filled with happiness. Before Eron could answer Devon already hugged him close and kissed him. "I'm glad you got away, but what is this I heard?" Devon's eyes were searching his, filled with worry and love.
"Yes there's a spy, King Vulmur said to me himself, he knew about the plan because of that spy" Eron explained, "he tried to get me to talk but I didn't budge... got killed with this lightning spell" he shifted.
"Lightning bolt?! How's your heart!? That takes lives with one bolt" Devon held him close, "anything else? Did they say who the spy is?".
"No... I've been spending the time that I had trying to figure it out, nothing" Eron shook his head feeling defeated.
"Thank you genral Holm, you are excused back to your duties" Devon said to the old genral, Holm bowed and left the throne room. The other soldiers that were there looking enraged and curious of the news.

"Let's go back to my chambers, you can tell me everything" Devon smiled, his eyes seemed to be glowing and Eron followed him up the halls to his chambers. The room hasn't changed at all, it was like he never left and Eron felt the smile on his face. "So what happened? Tell what happened exactly" his eyes that was once full of lust and wisdom is now filled with worry.
"I was making sure everyone would make it out of the city ok and they saw a second to get me. I felt a dart in my neck and I woke up in one of the Garnet camps. They stopped there then took me to the castle, there King Vulmur took me prisoner. He tried to sway me to betray you and King Aron" Eron began.
"Then what? How did you escape?" Devon sat down and cuddled Eron close.
"They tried to get me to talk, I refused and you already know...." Eron sighed, "this elf guy called Ovirel tried to tell me that you knew him as a kid.

He was the one who used that 'lighting bolt' spell and it killed me. When I came back they realised that it wasn't going to work and they stopped" Eron finished, not knowing how to explain that they let him out to 'see that they are right'.
"And? How did you get out?" Devon cuddled him tighter, kissing cheek.
"They... said that I would 'see who you really are' and they let me go" Eron explained, not too sure of how he would take it.
"Oh that old trick" Devon chuckled a little, "they say that to make someone feel extremely paranoid, so that they will doubt themselves. But you're smarter then that and they made a big mistake" Devon kissed him again.
