To the front line

It has been a few days, a few quiet days, in the castle. They had been waiting for King Aron to arrive back at the Opul castle to with a fresh army for battle. Today they have arrived and Eron sat next to Holm, in the throne room, talking about what has happened throughout the past month. "Wait, so you and King Devon? Together?" Holm questioned but his expression was welcoming.
"Yeah, he seemed to have in interest in me on the first day" Eron shrugged.
"He seemed? From what you said the very second he layed eyes on you" Holm joked and took a sip from his drink.
"Anyway how was your month? Temperatures feels a little warmer?" Eron asked, taking his own drink.
"Kinda, slow start to the spring is all I'm saying" Holm sighed, "at least some of the flowers are blooming, that's good I guess".

Eron was about to say something but then a call from the throne from King Devon and King Aron silenced everyone. "The war has officially begun!" King Devon stared, "we need camps in the fields! Battles are ripening as we speak!" His voice sounded exited and ready for fights.
"My generals!" King Aron called after, "take your commands to the front line, King Deven's generals will be joining you! Camp together and fight together!" He ordered.
"Well come on then Eron" Holm finished his drink and got up.
"About that" Eron started, "King Aron put me on King Devon's command" he explained.
"Oh? OK guess I'll see you in the field" Holm said his goodbyes and left with the soldiers that Eron has grown up knowing. Training and living alongside them, (what would I do if any of them died? Could I handle that?) He worried.

"Relax Eron" Devon's voice called from behind him, "they're not being sent to the larger battles, they'll be fine".
"Was I that easy to read?" Eron asked, feeling a little embarrassed as to how many times that has happened.
"Sometimes" Devon grinned, "but other times I can't tell what the emotion is exactly".
"Comforting" Eron said sycasticly, "so where we going?".
"To the city, didn't I say before? You know the plan?" Devon explained.
"Now? I thought that would be in a week or so" Eron shocked, (if I'm remembering right then I guess I'm gonna be ordered to kill the innocent) he frowned.
"If you're too screamish to join feel free to stay here on gard duty" Devon explained, though there was a sound of annoyance in his voice.

"What!? No I'm not screamish!" Eron challenged and he was greeted with aggressive elven soldiers. Defending their king from his harsh tone. "Ok relax!" Eron called after a minute of yells. Devon only grinning with a pleased look, (is this just pleasurable to him?)
"They're loyal, so keep your voice down when you challenged me" Devon warned.
"Well I'm. Not. Screamish" Eron explained in a sturn voice and a glare.
"Then why such a look of discust? A look of uncertainty?" Devon asked, his eyes narrowed and growling.
"Nothing just-" he stopper himself with a sigh, "never mind, doesn't matter".
"If this is about not wanting to kill 'the innocent' then you're wise to silence yourself" Devon prayed. "I have told you before to not separate your enemies and I don't like to repeat myself" he explained and left with a call to his soldiers.

Eron followed, keeping quiet as he focused on not loosing him in the crowd of so many commands from two kingdom's. The courtyard was pure chaos, horses being led to the side but only crashing into other horses, soldiers trying to keep to a small space with such heavy armour. Eron couldn't even take a step in as it was packed to the brim. "Why can't they organise themselves?" Devon spoke with an angry tone, "stay here!" He called to his command and Eron watched as he focused on his hands. Devon twitched his hands and a blue ball of energy formed and he threw it to the ground. Creating a loud, ear pirsing, pop that made Eron believe for a minute that his ears were bleeding.

The whole courtyard shut up and turned to him, their startled expressions quickly faded to curiosity. "Alright!" Devon began, "all those set to make camp on the front line! Leave now!" He ordered and over half of the soldiers left immediately. "Now! All those who is in the city mission wait for me in the my cities front gates!" He ordered and the rest left, leaving Devon and his command. "Let's get ready!" Devon left to the stables and arrived with a new horse that looked to be blue and was stunning in the sun. Stable hands arrived shortly after with the rest of the horses. Strawberry being the only one to dash over and completely trip and drag the stable hand. "Sorry, he's..." Eron took the rains and struggled to explain his horses actions.

"Come on, he seems fine" Devon sounded from the blue horse. Eron mounted and followed them, after helping the stable hand back up. They trotted down the main road and all the citizens cheered and wished good luck for the soldiers. They reached to the main gates of the city and in the distance, Eron saw many command cantering in all directions. "With me!" Devon called and he trailed north. Eron immediately noticed that King Aron wasn't with them, it was only Devon leading the multiple commands and only one of them was from the Magnetite kingdom. (Well this is it) Eron thought, (the beginning of the war that could go either way).
