One-shot story #1

~ A Letter for Justine

I’m laying her on my hospital bed waiting for him to come. I looked around this white little room. I closed my eyes trying to refrain myself from crying. Suddenly I remembered everything. It all flashbacked in my head.

“Ma’am can I get your order?” the cashier-girl told me as I’m standing here on the counter.

“Uh yes. Can I get one regular coffee and one double dutch slice?” I gave my orders.

“Right away Ma’am. That’s 280.” I gave her the money. Umalis sa harap ko yung babae. She got my order a moment later.

She was about to give it to me ng biglang may isang gwapong-walang manners ang humarang sa harap namin nung cashier-girl and he took my double dutch slice. How rude and cruel! ~__~

“Thanks. How much for this slice?” talagang humarang siya ng buong-buo dun sa harap ko.

“uhm Ma’am, Sir kasi may problema po e.”

“ano yun?/ what?” sabay naming sabi nung rude guy.

“last slice na po kasi to. And we’re about to close kaya hindi na po makakagawa ng other slices-“

“it’s okay. I’ll take it. You don’t mind do you?” humarap saken yung rude guy. I was shocked kasi he has THE looks. ~__~

“WHAT?! Excuse me uh.. err Mr. rude guy that I don’t know, anong ‘You don’t mind do you’ ka jan?! E maliwanag pa sa buwan na nauna akong nakapila at umorder ng double dutch na slice tas you tell me that?! How dare you!” natatawa pa siya sa mga sinabi ko.

“excuse me but the name’s Justine, okay? So if you don’t mind I’m in a hurry kaya kailangan ko ng bilin yung slice.” Humarap siya dun sa cashier-girl. “How much? Is for her coffee and my orders? I’ll pay for them. May iba pa bang slices jan?”

“that will be 415 Sir. Sir meron pa po. May chiffon slice pa po.”

He turned to face me. “there’s chiffon slice. I’ll treat you for 2 slices on that plus your coffee.”

“How much yung two slices nun plus yung coffee niya and my orders?”

“505 Sir.”

“NO! I’ll pay for my own coffee and that damn double dutch slice!” I put out a 1000 peso bill at binigay sa cashier-girl

“and F.I.Y Justine, I don’t care if you’re in a hurry. I can pay on my own, in fact I can buy this café in less than a day! So don’t you dare me! At isa pa, nauna akong umorder kesa sayo, kaya bago pa kita sipain papunta sa planeta mo you’ll give me that god damn slice!!” sinigawan ko siya tutal wala naman masyadong tao.

I took my coffee and the freakin’ double dutch slice sabay talikod dun sa rude man. I stopped and turned to them again.

“isama mo na rin LAHAT ng orders niya. Give him 10 chiffon slices, I hope kasya na yan kung hindi” I put out again a 1000 peso bill from my wallet and gave it to the cashier-girl. “isama mo na yan. Pakibigyan na rin siya ng 2 tall Amerikana para magising yan.” Tumalikod na ulit ako.

Bago pa ko lumabas lumingon ulit ako sa kanila. I saw him wearing a teasing smile on his beautiful face (yukkk! -__- ) “By the way keep the change, kung gusto niyang kunin yung sukli, give it to him. That’s all.”
