"morality disgrace us now"

By 5am, the streets of Itaewon were barricaded with police tape and headlines were filled with terror. News reporters kept their distance behind the yellow borders while CSI and first responders shuffled in and out of the nightclub turned crime scene.

Pedestrians' curiosity was at an all time high as they tried to get a peek behind the crowd of reporters and cameras. The internet flooded of talk about The Flaming Four: Did they strike again? Is this them? How much longer do we have to be afraid?

Granted, Seoul was never the safest place in the world, but before all of this, no one had to live in fear that they'd be someone's next target. The Flaming Four might've been executing these murders, but it was the citizens of South Korea, the ones who had the money to throw away, that were the real killers.

"This... Flaming Four. Do you think they had something to do with this?" Detective Dane Mason, a rookie transfer from America, shadowed his senior as he ducked under the police tape to follow him toward the entrance of the club.

Detective Jeon Jungkook didn't turn to meet his eyes. "Maybe," is all he replied with. In fact, he hoped so. If this was the work of one of the four hitmen terrorizing the city, it was another case that could lead him to who they were. Rest their soul, whoever this victim might've been, but with every murder, Jungkook hoped there would be errors to go along with it.

The Flaming Four were very good at covering their tracks, but Jungkook knew that they were only human, and they were bound to make a mistake one of these days.

"Detective Jeon?" A lower class police officer approached the two detectives, his hat between his hands as he bowed to them. "Thank you for coming on such short notice. We have reason to believe this might fall under your jurisdiction."

Jungkook only nodded his head in a short bow of acknowledgement. "We'll have a look. Is CSI finished with the victim and the crime scene?"

"They're just about finishing up," the police officer said as he led the two men inside the club. The big lights were turned on, no flashing sparks of neon or dim shadows of disco lights. "My partner and I were the responding officers. We got the call around 3am. EMT thinks our victim has been dead since around one."

The three men walked down the hallway toward the crime scene. When they rounded the corner, CSI crowded the area, snapping photos and finishing up dusting for prints on the doorknob. On the floor, the victim remained lying there, white cloth simply covering his body.

"The EMTs didn't take him yet?" Dane wondered aloud as they stepped into the liquor supply room.

"No. I told them to wait for you guys to get here first. Figured you might catch something before they send him to the M.E."
