"yeah, i surrender this fight
no more
i offer nothing but peace"

"This is all sorts of fucked up," Yoongi murmured. Namjoon hummed his agreement. Suki wanted to agree, but there had to be one person who didn't. One person who encouraged this so that they all might feel a bit better about themselves.

"We have to," was all she said. She had to, or else she might've gone crazy.

She had only seen Jungkook yesterday, but there was no confirmation on his part about whether or not he was going to help her find Hoseok. He'd been missing for too long now. Too long, and Suki was going crazy just sitting around and waiting.

Snooping through Hoseok's bedroom was certainly all sorts of fucked up, but... it was better than doing nothing. At least she was doing something.

Yoongi sighed and sat at Hoseok's desk, eyes scanning the scattered contents on the surface. There wasn't much in Hoseok's bedroom. Suki had never actually been inside, only seen it through the cracks of the door, but it was nice. Neat. Definitely cleaner than her own. Definitely cleaner than Yoongi's.

"I'll start in the closet," Namjoon said, but there was a wince in his face like he could feel Hoseok's wrath from wherever he was.

The wooden floorboards creaked as Suki walked past Yoongi to Hoseok's bed, neat and untouched. How long had he been gone and she never even noticed? Was he counting on them to help him? Was he clinging onto any hope at all?

It didn't really matter. Suki was going to try regardless.

She began to strip his bed, move around his pillows, and peeked under the mattress. Meanwhile, Yoongi cracked open Hoseok's laptop, but quickly gave up trying to unlock it and moved onto the drawers of his desk instead.

Namjoon asked from inside the closet, "What exactly are we looking for?"

"Anything," Suki said, dumping the sheets on the floor behind Yoongi. "Clues, messages. Things that might explain what rule he broke or where he might've gone. Anything."

"Even if we find something," Yoongi said, "it still might not be enough to find him."

Namjoon emerged from the closet, a shoebox in his hands and the lid discarded somewhere inside. He held a photo between his fingers, wrinkled like it had been touched and looked at over and over again.

"Guys." He paused in the threshold. Yoongi stilled, waiting for him to continue. "I think he had a family."

"No shit, dumbass. We all had families." Yoongi bared his teeth, impatient.
