It was a rainy day. I was walking around the car, where lydia and Stiles sat in. Scott was doing the same thing as me.
"Mm," Lydia says and I look at her. We were outside. There had been some sort of attack
"What?" Stiles jumps up from the seat, looking at Lydia who was staring at herself in the mirror."This is a perfect shade for me. Forget the name." I put my head through the window of the passenger seat and fake glare at Lydia. "Lyds, can we please stay on topic here?" I ask and she sighs. "I'm not getting anything," she says and I hear a coyote howl.
Looking over my shoulder I see Malia in her coyote form, her blue eyes shining bright. Hearing her transform I grab the clothes I had for her and toss it once she stood up.
"I don't think they're dead." Lydia says and I shrug, I don't know. "They're dead, probably torn apart." Malia says while changing. "The only thing I don't get is why there's no blood." She wonders and I look at Lydia.
Poor family. "They're not dead, if they were, I'd sense it." She argues and Malia shrugs. "If they were alive I'd smell it." She says and I squint my eyes.
"Great, they vanished." I remark and Stiles turns to Scott. "Scott, how's this possible? You were in his head for four minutes. I know that because I timed it." Stiles says, and I nod. Scott used his claws to get into the boys his memories, and now we are still on page 1.
"He's a kid. Maybe he's too freaked out to remember." He says and I sigh. I love mysteries, I live for the thrill, for everything, but sometimes I wish they weren't so hard.
"Why does it matter if they're dead? Dead is dead." Malia comments, and I shudder at her blundness. "Because, if it's a robbery we can't help them, but if it's something supernatural, then my dad can't help them." Stiles says and I turn to him.
Stiles is my partner in crime, he knows that I love mysteries and we have bonded over it, because he is the same.
"Sounds like you want it to be supernatural, Stiles." I say to him and Stiles looks at me, frowning. "It's been like three months since anythings happened." He says as if it was a bad thing.
"Yeah, and once a week you drag me out of bed like I'm some sort of supernatural metal detector." Lydia shoots back and I raise my hand. "Okay, it's way more often than that." I say and chuckle.
"Look, you can't tell me you think this is some series of impossible coincidences?" Stiles says, raising his voice slightly.
"What I'm saying, is maybe that wouldn't be so bad." Lydia says, turning around and walking away with Malia following.
Me, Scott and Stiles are left. Stiles opens his mouth in surprise and disbelief, turning around to face me. I shrug, and Stiles shakes his head.
He gets into the car again, staring in front of him. "You're staring at a broken windshield." Scott comments and I walk around the car, sitting in the passangers seat.
"There's something wrong with it." Stiles says and Scott taps the car. "It's broken. And it wasn't a magic bullet. It was a regular bullet, that blew out a regular windshield."
I look around, there's no way. "No, I think he's right." I say and they both look at me. "If you look at the cars, they're all smashed, but here... the entire windshield is... missing." I say, not knowing what else to put there.
Stiles slowly grabs a loose piece of glass, seeing some sort of dust on it. "Magic bullet."
