"I dont want to lose you again" <3

I put the final candle down on the pentacle, lighting it. I sighed, i wanted this to work. It's a year today since Gerard died. He died in a shooting, and i was at an all time low over it, so i decided to resurrect him, like any logical human being would do.

I put his wedding ring in the middle, chanting.
The candles flickered, and then they were out. It was pitch black in my room. I looked around, slightly disappointed.
"Gerard?" I whispered.
Suddenly a red aura surrounded his ring. My eyes widened, it worked! I smile crept onto my face, watching this unfold. Smoke filled the room, causing me to cough. I stood up, stepping towards the pentacle, seeing a silhouette in the smoke.

A silhouette i know oh so well.
"Darling?" The silhouette called out.
I didn't waste anytime hugging the silhouette i know as Gerard. Tears pricked my eyes, he was here. Gerard, who has been dead for a YEAR, is here with me.
It was like a dream.

"I missed you too." He laughed lightly, hugging me back. I looked up at him, cupping his cheek.
I was surprised to say the least.
"Y-You're....You're real!" I couldn't hide the smile on my face. He smiled as he looked down at me.
"I'm as real as i once was, but i don't think this lasts forever." He said, his smile fading slightly. I looked at his face, he was paler, if possible. the little veins in his face a little bluer, he had dark circles around his eyes. He was dead, but he looked almost the same. The same Gerard i loved and missed.

"What do you mean this doesn't last? You're back..." I trailed.
"You summoned me, i have to go at some point. It takes a lot of energy to come back, honey." He whispered.
"I-I, I don't care! You're here now and i wanna make the most of it." I said kissing his cheek.
Wait. The sudden realization hit me. He came from hell. You can't summon angels.
"Gerard. Why were you in Hell?" I asked, suddenly realizing.
"I didn't come from hell. The world is still the same when you're dead, it's just darker, and you see the dead." He paused.
"And those who you wish to finish your life with."

What? So he haunts this house?
"You've been here the whole time?" I questioned, my mood lightened a little.
"Technically, yes." He said, sitting next to me.
"....Do you really have to leave? I don't want to lose you again." I said lowly.

"Unfortunately. You can summon me anytime, i'm always here anyways." He said as i rested my head on his shoulder. The familiarity calmed me down.
"Words can't explain how much i wish you were still alive, Gee." A stray tear streamed down my face.
"I know." He said, turning to me, wiping the tear away with his thumb.
"It kills me all over again when i see you cry over me."
He said, cupping my cheek, stroking it with his thumb.
I leaned in and kissed his lips that i was once so fond of. It was a soft gentle kiss, one i was going to cherish, for i didn't know when i'd see him again.

We talked for a few hours, his energy eventually grew weaker, signaling my dear had to leave me again.
It was painful, but it had to be done. I never wanted him to leave me again. I hated whoever took him from me. I hoped that the most morbid things would come their way. I shouldn't have to SUMMON my husband to talk to him. He should be with me, cuddling with me, shopping with me, DOING ANYTHING WITH ME!

I was almost sobbing at this point.
"Gee, please. When you go, if you're still in this house, give me a sign. Even if that means destroying the whole house." I pleaded.
"I promise." He said, hugging me one last time.
"I...I'm not ready to say bye! It's too painful, Gee." I buried my head in his chest.
"Goodbyes are only painful when you're afraid you'll never say hello again. (Y/N), you'll see me again. I'm always here, i'll show it more often this time." He said, kissing the top of my head.
"I love you, (Y/N)." He said, fading into smoke.
"I love you too, Gerard." I cried out.
And he was gone.

He let me know he was there sometimes, whether that's making the microwave go off, or randomly turning music on.
He's still with me, and that's all that matters.
