DOMINIC

"Alexander- this is Dominic Pierce.. Dominic this is Alexander."

I chewed on my inner while Coach Trevor introduced me to his newest champion.

The blondie with the buzzcut I met here a few days ago.

"Hello Mr. Pierce." Alexander stuck out his hand for a handshake- his brown eyes looked between me and and Coach.

"You don't have to that." I told him, clasping my hand around his.

Alexander swiped his bottom lip with the tip of his tongue, "My bad- you're just a legend around here, sir." He gave my hand a quick but firm shake and then let go- scratching the side of his head.

"No, I don't care about the handshake," I explained with a scoff. "I just I don't like the whole 'Mr. Pierce' shit or 'sir'..."

"Oh crap, my bad.. again." Alexander murmured.

I sighed, "..It's fine," I rolled my eyes at Coach Trevor before I looked back at Alexander. ".. 'not your fault this guy talked about me like I was some sixty year-old boxing legend- I'm twenty-five."

Coach Trevor huffed, smacking Alexander on the shoulder, "Yeah.. yeah, Alexander go practice."

Alexander nodded and grabved his gloves off of the hook before he wandered out to the main gym area.

"How old is he?" I asked in a murmur.

"He just turned 20."

I quickly turned my full attention to Coach Trevor.

"20? You want me to box a kid who can't even legally drink." I huffed.

"You wanted my newest champion and you got him," Coach sighed as shrugged before he scratched his chin.. "besides all the pros have done it- also he drinks, don't worry."

I pressed my lips together firmly, "Hah you're funny.. also I'm not pro, Coach- or going pro."

Coach Trevor blinked slowly at the reminder- he did that a lot now that I showed up again.
Something deep inside his mind seemed to comeback at the simple fact I even stood before him in person- his hopes and dreams for me looked to be in reach again (from his point of view), but they weren't.
