DOMINIC
"Roselyn, please- test my newest scent.."
They swarmed around her with little white card that had a spritz of different colognes.
There was a large framed photograph of Marilyn Monroe, on the wall where the booth was, with four men surrounding her while she sat. This whole scene resembled that photograph- except Miss Roselyn wasn't grinning, but was only giving them that pouty smile that made me always have to stop and stare for a second.
"Seth, you first.." Miss Roselyn sighed and he slid her the tester card.
She picked it up off of the table and sniffed the colonge scent with furrowed brows.
"It's Vanilla and Roasted Oak.." Seth elaborated with a smile.
"I like it," Miss Roselyn set the card down and dug in her purse again. She pulled out a notepad and flipped to a page- setting it on the table as well. ".. but I need more of a- shit, everyone set your prototype scents down next to Seths," The three other men did as told. The phone man being Trenton Blake, brown-haired man being Hector Guadalupe, and fully-grayed man was Easton Richards. "..Dominic, you look at the watch design and tell me what colonge you would wear with it." Miss Roselyn huffed and all eyes fell on me- they were more glares than anything else.
Hector spoke up, "Him? Roselyn shouldn't you-"
"He's not making the decision for me so you can relax. I just want an unbaised opinion of a man who won't vote for his own product." She explained.
I met eyes with Seth and his lips were pressed firmly together- as if to warn something would happen if I didn't pick his.
I muttered, "Miss-"
"- C'mere, hun," Miss Roselyn hummed and I walked around the booth. She patted a spot next to her and I sighed and scooted right next to her in the booth. ".. what scent would you pair with it?"
I stared at the sketch of the watch- it was less detailed compared to the one she had drawn in her sketch book. The little strips of white cardboard were lined up horizontally. So I just picked one up, smelt it, and went on to the next.
"Honestly," I admitted as I gave the sketch one last glance and set the last piece of cardboard down. ".. I don't think any of 'em fit on there own- mix like one and three or two and four and there could be something there.."
"Kid.. making products isn't that simple," Trenton argued with a huff. ".. we're friends but we're also competitors."
Seth chuckled, "Lay it off the kid.. he's trying to be inclusive- it comes with working for Roselyn."
