Chapter 6

Adel's POV

Tomorrow is the day when I turn 18 and to meet my mate. Honestly I'm quite nervous to meet him. Would he be kind? Care for me? Mom would tell me stories of mates when I was young.

Flashback

"Mommy, what is a mate?" Me and Alex sat beside mommy.

"A mate is your soul mate. Someone you will are fated to be with. Both of you will love each other at first sight. Every flaw of your mate will look like perfection to you. You will naturally accept them as a whole. No matter size, looks, personality, you will love them unconsciously. You will always crave for their touch and love. Just like how daddy treats me." Mommy looked so happy. Was that how you would feel when you find your mate?

"I heard someone talking about me." Daddy came in, giving mom a kiss on her lips.

"Eww! Daddy is sucking Mommy's lips!" Me and Alex covered our eyes.

"It doesn't matter if she likes it." Daddy gave Mommy a small wink, making Mommy blush and push Daddy away slightly.

Would my mate love me unconditionally too? Thoughts were running through my mind. How would he look like? Which pack would he be from? What does it feel to touch him?

A part of me was thinking of Isaac. I couldn't help but admire him. That night during the rogue trespass, I managed to take a good close look at his looks. He really looked so hot. His blue eyes has streaks of silver in them, making them look like diamonds. I could get lost in them forever. I just wanted to stare at him all day.

"Adel, have an early rest. Tomorrow is your big day." My father walked into my room where I was sitting on my bed.

"I know Dad. I'm just nervous about meeting my mate." I looked down and played with my fingers.

"You know, if it helps, Alex can be your personal body guard throughout the party. I can keep a close eye on you too. Unmated wolfs will not be able to keep their eyes off my beautiful daughter." Dad looked serious.

"Dad! This is my 18th birthday! I want to have fun tomorrow, not get chained to Alex. The training you taught me will come in handy. I'm a big girl already, I can manage." I giggled, while a grin broke out on Dad's face. He has much more wrinkles now, due to the hetic situation of the rogue attack.

"That's my princess, but that doesn't mean I won't keep an eye on the unmated wolves. Go sleep now, goodnight. " He tucked me in my bed. It has been so long since he has tucked me in. He was so busy with pack work that he hardly ever gets any rest. I'm sure Alex will be able to take over just fine.

"Alright goodnight Daddy. Don't overwork." With that, I snuggled into my bed and fell asleep.

(The Next Day)

"You should probably start getting ready now." My mom pushed me to my room.

"But there's 3 hours before the commencement of the party." I whined.

"Don't argue woman, 3 hours may not even be enough for you to get ready." Stephanie helped pull me to my room too. Yes my mom invited her to do my makeup and what not.

"Go shower first, you stink." Stephanie smirked, sticking her tongue out at me. I wonder if she's even 18 sometimes...

I washed my body using Raspberry flavoured soap and washed my hair thoroughly. After drying myself, I slipped into the dress. Coming out the toilet, I let Mom and Stephanie adjust my dress. After that, I sat at the dressing table where I let Stephanie do my makeup. Mom never knew how to put on makeup because she never did. Dad only wanted to see her with her natural beauty, not products strewn all over her face. He was against me putting makeup at first but he finally gave in with Mom's persuasion to make me look even more beautiful. I remember Dad mumbling under his breath. "She's a true beauty already." So Mom helped me with drying my hair.
