Chapter 12

Adel's POV

There was a flickering light bulb in a distance. The room was dark as I laid on a soft white bed. My head hurts and everything was a blur.

Wait, Xavier just kidnapped me! What time was it? I strained my neck to take a peep at the window. It was still dark. How long did I pass out?

Just then, Xavier walked into the room, closing the metal door behind him.

"Ah, you're up. How are you?" He walked to my side of the bed and sat beside me.

"Cut the chase. How long was I out?" I said emotionlessly, moving away from him.

"I was just concerned about you, you look tired. But you were asleep for about 5h, it's 5.30am now."

"Of course I don't look good, you used wolfsbane on me! I can't even contact my wolf! I can't even.. I can't even feel her.." I let out a small sob and tried to contact my wolf as hard as I could but to no avail.

"Angel, no matter how strong you are or how hard you try, you won't be able to contact her. Unless I get a witch to break the spell. But don't worry, it doesn't kill her, it puts her in a deep sleep. I still want a wolf as my Luna, not a weak pathetic human."

"DO NOT call me your angel. And DO YOU think that witches will obey you? AND HUMANS ARE NOT WEAK, they deserve some respect, unlike you." I spat at him in disgust.

"Feisty, don't go all Luna on me. I'm Alpha so it doesn't affect me. And you are my angel, and future Luna. I have witches and vampires at my beck and call, I can kill their whole family if they do not obey me. Same goes for humans, they are weak and selfish! They deserve to be killed for murdering our kind!" Xavier used his Alpha tone on me which made me flinch. Xavier's anger immediately vanished and his eyes were filled with guilty now.

"I shouldn't have shouted at you, I-.. Go back to sleep Adel. And don't think you can escape, they are witches, vampires and my Beta and third in command patrolling around the area." He sighed, leaving the room.

I stared at the wall in front of me. I felt so lifeless.. All I had in my mind was to escape this nightmare I'm in. I want to get back to my pack, the Black Blood Pack. More importantly, back to Isaac, in his arms. I miss his electrifying effect he has on me. His piercing blue eyes which I could stare at all day. His face which looks so cold all the time, yet can be so loving to me only. I want to be by his side and kiss him senseless. I want.. I need Isaac.

The fatigue must have been kicking in. Soon enough my eyelids felt heavy and I closed my eyes, letting sleep take over my body.

I felt a warm feeling on my skin. Was that Isaac? I got up the bed immediately to find out that it was just the sunlight and wind on my skin. I groaned as I got out of bed.

"Good morning Luna." A woman stood by the end of my bed and bowed her head in respect.

I shrieked, hitting my head against the bed frame in the process.

"Luna, are you okay?" She hurriedly came up to me to check on my injury.

"What does it look to you? That I can go home and be happy with my mate?" My words lined with sarcasm.

"Luna, I hope I did not offend you in anyway.. Alpha would not like it if I made you upset." She cowered in fear. She didn't look like a bad person, I shouldn't have been so harsh with her. She looked more like a victim than someone on Xavier's side.

"No, I'm sorry for being so harsh. And please, I would rather if you call me Adel. I am not his Luna. What is your name?"

"It's fine, I was just afraid of what would happen to us. I can call you by that but when it's only the two of us. I am Nicole." She smiled.
