Adel's POV

"Mom, dad I'm back." I sighed, closing the door behind me.

"Welcome back honey, dinner's just being served. Come join us, we have company." My mom smiled sweetly, turning towards Isaac and his parents.

"Good evening Alpha, Luna." I bowed my head slightly towards them. They nodded and Luna Jessica gave me a small smile.

9 of us (Me, Alex, Mom, Dad, Dylan, Josh, Isaac and his parents) sat at the table and dug into the roasted chicken mom prepared. It was served with spaghetti and some drinks. It tasted so heavenly. Mmm..

My wolf was being alert again, with the presence of Isaac. She was pacing up and down in my mind, making me really anxious.

"I see Adel's birthday is coming soon. Who are you planning to invite?" Alpha Jerome, Issac's father asked politely.

"Every pack that has members enrolled into Moonlight college. Mainly everyone who has an alliance with us. We hope Adel will be able to find her mate." My father spoke.

"I'm sure she will. She is so pretty, I'm certain only a strong Alpha would be worthy of her." Luna Jessica turned to look at me. I grinned at her and blushed.

"Would you excuse us? We have to discuss about pack business with the principal of Moonlight College. We won't be back until tomorrow night." Alex stood up, Dylan and Josh behind him.

"Of course. We have to discuss about the recent rogue incident too." My father nodded in agreement with Alpha Jerome.

"Adel why don't you show Isaac around?" My mom asked.

"I will." I felt nervous. Why should I feel nervous? Probably because he is abit intimidating but that isn't the reason why..

Isaac's POV

My mate led me to the forest outside the pack house. It was getting dark but luckily we had enhanced werewolf sight and there would be a full moon 5 days after Adel's birthday. Which means all future Alphas would take up their new positions, including me.

"So how's pack business? It can be quite stressful at times." My mate glanced at me, trying starting a conversation to clear up the awkwardness.

"Yes but with the help of my Beta and third in command things can be done efficiently. You already know my Beta Colin, he can be quite the prick sometimes." I frowned slightly, thinking back of what Colin did.

"He's not that bad. He's really nice to me." I failed in suppressing a growl, which made Adel flinch slightly.

I noticed it right away and couldn't help but feel guilty.

'You stupid! Don't scare our mate like that!' My wolf growled at me.

'I didn't mean too! And you should have known how it felt when Colin was that close to her.' I snarled back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Uh, anyway I heard you helped out with pack work too? You are quite the Alpha material." I changed the topic to avoid scaring her anymore.

She seemed glad that I did, smiling in return. "No, Alex hasn't found his Luna yet. So he may make a few wrong decisions on the way. I'm just a replacement for now."

"You're not a replacement, you are special. No other she-wolf would want to manage pack duties. You will be a great Luna. " I looked at her with all seriousness. Her humbleness would make her a even better Luna. I couldn't wait until it was full moon.
