"i still can't believe he said no."

"would you please shut up about it." yeonjun groans.

this was already embarrassing as it was. the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen to him. one that many would say never would ever occur, and yet it did.

it was something he wouldn't forget; vividly remembering every little detail and aspect. from each second to every blink. it was scarred permanently in his ego.

he couldn't forget the feeling of when the three had bounced up to him- bombarding him with millions of questions while he was still distraught. stuck processing everything while they were nagging him to get an answer.

yeonjun was so confused. and hurt. he didn't know why, but he felt it deep inside. it was new to him. he usually got what he wanted- not that he was a stuck up brat- but he knew that others would treat a date with him like a lottery ticket; something everyone dreamed of and hoped to win.

he could remember his brain running a mile a minute as he had told them what soobin said straight to his face; not a single ounce of bluffing infecting him in any area.

"no." yeonjun had whispered out, "he said no."

the three erupted with thousands of more questions that yeonjun barely knew the answer to: why? what? are you sure? he said no? what are you gonna do?

they had spent the rest of their evening together trying to squeeze out every little single detail from their conversation; hoping to come up with a better explanation for the reason behind soobin's uncalled for action.

but one thing was clear.

the dare wasn't done. soobin didn't say yes. so that clearly meant yeonjun had to keep trying; again and again until he caved in.

so that's why they were here- early at school in the morning, hiding in the buzzing crowd and watching faces pass by them; hoping to catch the special one they needed to find.

"he usually comes early," beomgyu says with a small frown, swinging his legs around like a little kid, "i've seen him before."

"are you sure he isn't in the library?" yeonjun asks impatiently.

"no, i promise. he always stops by his locker first."

"maybe he got here earlier than us."

"maybe he's running late." beomgyu fires back.

"maybe you don't know what you're talking about."

"maybe i do."

"well maybe-"

"there, there!" taehyun interrupts loudly, nodding his head in the direction they had been staring at previously.

there he was. approaching his locker. long slim fingers reaching out to fidget with getting it open. keeping his head bend down and tucked away happily. no one looking at him except the four stalkers nestled in their dark corner.

yeonjun studies him for a brief second, inhaling all that he could, before he peaks back at his friends through the corner of his eye- all of urging him on and signaling that it was now his time once again; six pairs of eyes now all locked on his every breath.

yeonjun sighs and stands up, now dusting himself off and straightening up his sagging shoulders- attempting to shake off all the stress and failure from last time.
