step after step.
picking up the pace.
he was walking. fast. really fast.
his hips swinging around- his eyes darting straight forward with determination spread across.
there were bags swaying steadily within his hands; palms held tightly on such treasured things. never willing to let go. a death tight grip. nearly choking the plastic into bits.
he walked with power- a final destination pedaled into his brain so powerfully that there was nothing else he could think about.
he was late. he knew.
that's why he dashed down the hallways; trying his best to not run like maniac.
he rather looked like a mom- the mom walk accidentally becoming coded into his body.
the way his arms were up- bouncing all over place, trying to get him to go faster.
the way his pants legs were brushing against each other- making his steps become known as they flutter out into the vast emptiness.
the way he huffed and puffed.
yep, he looked like a mom going for a jog.
yeonjun hurriedly slips into the library- now slowing down his pace as the door shuts behind him; leaving him to trace his usual way to the table that they always occupied. claiming it as their own.
he tries to quiet down his pants- swallowing down the air that filled his lungs as he ignores the people who looked up from being interrupted. already curving pass the countless of bookshelves and desks that stood in his way.
within a few seconds- his eyes connect on the sight he wanted to see. a small smile already stuck on his face; the one that always came when he saw him.
yeonjun takes soft and patient steps to the table- finding the boy with his head down, buried in the crooks of his elbows as he was trying his best to rest for a while.
his face was entirely hidden- enveloped by his hair that was his personal curtain, covered by his arms that got rid of any extra light. being happily planted safely on top of the millions of open notes and books that laid spread out. his own cute little nap time.
yeonjun smiles endearingly- silently pulling out the chair next to soobin; trying his very best to not disturb the sleeping boy.
he sets the bags on the table with a small little crackle- eyeing soobin carefully as he luckily doesn't even notice the sound; still stuck in his own blissful slumber.
yeonjun slides into his seat- hurriedly adjusting and getting comfortable- before he copies soobin.
he puts his own head down; placing it gingerly on top of his forearms. getting him to sigh without a single worry. finding this entirely peaceful and healing.
yeonjun begins to study the angel in front of him. noticing how his pupils were gone and closed. how his eyelids twitching in the slightest way possible. how his mouth naturally relaxed. even how his cheeks looking so soft and squishy to touch.
yeonjun could stay like this forever; to live and die here.
he grins to himself- sinking deeper into the desk. finding this oddly his new home.
he heaves once more- slow and steady. blinking in all the tiredness that now was creeping up and becoming noticed. using that to now loosen up and unwind.
though just as he does, just as he willed to pull his heavy eyelashes down, the pair of eyes in front of him open up; seeming to sense something that sparks him back into reality.
